Sea Fishing?

Sea Fishing?

Hi...I'm planning my first ever lone independant trip to Carriacou & Grenada sometime soon. I would like to take an excursion on a fishing boat and experience some sea fishing at first hand. I've never been sea fishing in my life by the way..just looking for new experiences. Does anyone know if this is something that would be a possibility and if so who/where do I go?

Hi. Are you looking to go out on a sportfishing excursion, or just want to ride along with a fisherman on his boat? Grenada is blessed with an abundance of fish in their waters, including the big fish for sportfishing. Every year they host the Spice Island Billfish Tournament. You can find companies that will take you out for fishing on the GBT website:

If you are just looking for a fisherman to tag along with, take a stroll on Grand Anse, or in Gouyave (fishing capital of Grenada) and chat up a local fisherman that you encounter and see if he'll take you out with him one day.

Same in Carriacou, just find a fisherman with a boat and chat him up.

For an organized fishing in Carriacou, try contacting Sherwin of the Lambi Queen. I believe he can organize a fishing tour for you.
