Stingray City Crowds??

This is our first trip to Grand Cayman and I am planning on going to Stingray City as it seems unique. I've read a lot of reviews, some old, some new. What are the current great tour operators? Also, in the pictures I've seen, I am wondering about the crowds. I know this isn't a unique excursion but are some tours better than others to avoid so many people?? I'm sure it is difficult with a cruise ship full of customers descending on the pier...

Thanks in advance!

Best bet to avoid ANY crowds is to take a sunrise tour. I've done White Sands, which leaves from Kaibo Marina and thought they were great.

Yes, we are one of the "cruise group", arriving on a Friday around 10:30.

Oh well. In that case, I'd look to try and book the smallest boat that still has the facilities you require. You won't be alone at the Sandbar, but you'll have less people in the immedate vacinity when there.

Jetskis are great the flatter the water but not alwayys the easiest if there is a chop. At this time of year there are few ships in the western Caribbean so it is not such a big deal anyway. Capt Marvins is a good choice. There are several. Just google and see what best suits your group.

Totally different kind of stingray. Literally thousands of people a week have been visiting this site for decades. Incidents have been few and minor.
