Anyone in St. Bart's right now?

Hi,

Leaving on Sunday for our one week stay and would love to know how the weather has been. One more thing, we are flying Winair for the first time instead of taking the ferry, is it really as scary of a flight as I've heard? I am terrified of flying and not looking forward to that part of the trip

Thanks!

I don't understand the worries people have about the flight over. I do believe most come from people who do not like small planes to begin with, but I love looking at the island from the air. By the time you might get a bit scared you are already on the ground! I have a friend who closes her eyes before take off and doesn't open them again until landing. It is only 10 minutes.

The flight is great....have never done the ferry (knock on wood!) but can't imagine going through the hassle of leaving the airport, taxi, traffic, etc all for the joy of getting seasick! The flight is quick and the much improved SXM airport makes the wait much more comfortable.

No one can predict the weather for next week but overall this has been one of the rainiest years on record for St Barth. In 2011 they had 199 days with rain. Most days or nights it comes down and the sun comes out.

Wishing you blue skies!
