Going Mar24 for the second time.
13 days and counting!
I can only say: "Have a great vacation!"
Just got back.. great resort, had a great time!
Pelawpablo, how was your weather? We had A LOT of rain every day the week we were there. Just wondering if this area is traditionally more wet that other areas or if we just got unlucky.
Figures. :( When we were in Puerto Plata in Oct 2016 we had a ton of rain as well. When we went to Punta Cana in September 2017 we got evacuated due to the hurricane. We don't seem to be having much luck with vacations and weather. When we get home I always say I need a vacation do-over. So far my do-overs aren't working. Sigh.....
@SBDriver - Unlucky to the extreme... I always advise not to travel to DR during the Atlantic Hurricane Season that is from June 1 - November 30, nevertheless i do travel sometimes from early June to mid July (Mea Culpa!) and always had great weather...
Our 2016 vacation was to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday, and our 2017 vacation was to celebrate my 60th. We like to celebrate special occasions with a vacation and it just didn't seem right to travel in April (or whenever) when the birthdays are in October and September. We have travelled in hurricane season several times over the years and never had much more than a quick downpour followed by glorious sunshine. I guess our good luck finally ran out. lol
"... I guess our good luck finally ran out." - I don't think so, because now 3rd time and forward glorious sunshine are waiting for you both!
@OP - sorry to went off topic and again, have a great vacation!Edited: 14 March 2018, 05:43
