Tropical Storm Nana

As this is still the hurricane season, we have to keep our eyes on the weather. But at the same time, we must understand that all storms follow different paths.

Nama has developed approximately 2100 miles to our east and is expected to continue on her northwesterly path, thus not a factor for the islands.

At the same time, there is an area of disorganised clouds and squalls located southeast of Puerto Rico which may result in a few brief (5 minutes)but heavy downpours in the arrea over the next 48 hours. Certainly not enough to wash out the day, but enough to get you wet...if you are not already in the pool!

So...despite all the hype that might appear on the weather channels....Nana is not an issue for Punta cana....but if by chance things change...look here for accurate predictions and realtime weather.

Cheers

You guys getting any rain from TD#15? I know its to your south/southeast, and moving on a northeast track, but even though it isn't strong, it is slow moving. A potential rain maker.

According to the 5:00pm update it appears Nana is expected to dissipate over night so that's good news. TD 15 is not expected to move virtually anywhere over the next day and could be quite the rain maker. One report from Antigua reported torrential downpours not experienced in years.

Just updated myself at StormCarib.com. I enjoy reading the reports from the island folk.

Nana...is now Nada!!!!

Omar is our new weather system and should not cause any disruption to this area as its track will have it moving towards the BVI's.

Today is back to SUNSHINE SKIES!!!!

yes Mike,

we passed a mostly sunny nice day today.

we should watch TS Omar during tonight, he damps waterloads over northern Colombia and Venezuela now and is expected to change track during tonight, to mover upwards towards the BVIsles.

that course change and the really outcoming track are the vital deciders for it's poor destins.

this afternoon's hurricane hunters datas show a huge drop of pressure and very fast intensifying, if he goes stright to the NE the br virgin isles will get an major cat 2-3 hurricane Omar.

a direct NE track would spare PC completely, maybe some rain as a max.

we will see that in an 10-12 hrs when he really is on it's move.

happy travel

Mike
