Tourist Card

Hi! I know there is a lot of chat around this but I’m still a bit confused.

We are going to DR for first time in June. I’m aware the DR Embassy website states tourist cards are no longer needed. We booked our holiday with first choice/ TUI 11th April so I spoke to them but they stated that we still have to pay for the tourist Card ourselves.

We bought our tourist cards online from the embassy website. However I’ve read a few people on here now say they’re not required when landing in DR? Unsure what to do!

Thanks

Rosie,

As you have already purchased your tourist cards there is nothing you can do now. You cannot get a refund. As I am sure you read on this forum Lee C who flew with TUI did not need tourist cards on arrival.

Take the tourist cards with you just in case your flight is expected to produce tourist cards or pay the $10 on arrival. Then you are covered.

Angie.
