Planning a road trip from Louisiana to North Carolina in July.....any advice that can be offered would be appreciated? Where to stay ,eat, must see
You should post in the Road Trips forum - they are better equipped to help with itineraries of this type:
You will need to provide a LOT more information if you want people to help you - for example you can start by giving the exact starting and ending points of your trip (i.e. where exactly in North Carolina? It is big state with lots to do). Also what sorts of activities you like, rough idea of budget, what is the makeup of your group (solo traveler, couple, family with small children, etc). As it is your request is far too vague, so impossible to give you any usable advice.
If driving from Louisiana you might want to also ask on the Road Trips forum. Lots of good info for things on the way. Also as stated we need more info in order to help with planning. You say in July but do you meed during the holiday or after? How many days total. Kids? Ages? What are you looking to do?
Waterfalls, hiking, historical, each city has its own flavor of things. You could include visiting the smoky mountains, going white water rafting or tubing, zip lining, horseback riding, etc. All are things you can do in the mountains.
Asheville and surrounding areas are popular, Boone Blowing Rock are too. Driving the Blue Ridge Parkway, the list can go on. Give us more info and we will try to help. Take a look at google maps or map quest too so you can see where things are located.
Depends on how long you want to drive each day and how long you have.
Chattanooga is a scenic, fun area with many interesting activities, delicious restaurants, a much to see and enjoy. It is about a 7 hour drive.
You will have a time change. Add 1 Hour.
Additional information would be helpful.
