horseback riding at Bryce Canyon

Has anyone taken the riding tour at Bryce? There were some older posts, but I would like some comments from travelers on recent rides. Would you consider the outfit that runs the tours, responsible about safety concerns?

We would like to do this in May, but are not sure if the two hour tour gives enough time to see the canyon. How much more would you see with the 1/2 day tour? Guess it would certainly a bit more painful!!!!

Do the tours go down into the canyon?

Has anyone done the horseback rides in Monument Valley?

We will be in Bryce the first week in April and are worried there will be snow, but really want to do the horseback ride. Will they be running if there is snow?

Your best bet is to contact the people that do the tours. They are the ones that ultimately decide that.

As I recall, there were snow issues that cancelled rides last year in April, so obviously it can happen. No way to know for sure though. Just have a back up plan.

Bryce with snow is unbelievably beautiful.
