Snorkelling please?

Is it worth taking our snorkels to Stalos? Are there any decent fish to be seen whilst swimming off the shore? Hubby has only just learnt to swim so we won't be swimming off boats in very deep water lol

No, there are no decent fish, they all swim naked. Seriously, to see fish, you need to swim around rocks, breakwaters, Harbour walls etc. The little fishes need somewhere food grows with places to hide from the big fish. the bigger fish know where the little fishes hide, (some have better memories than goldfish and can remember where they hid as little fishes). There are always more fish about if you can snorkel before breakfast, and the water is not full of bathers. If you take some dry bread in with you, you will attract a surprising number of small fish. You will come across the occasional flatfish or squid, you will probably not keep up with them once they spot you. To see bigger fish, visit the fish market to see what they have caught last night.
