In a 9-night/ 10-day itinerary, Ranthambhore is the better option. You will have to jump through some hoops to get to Bandhavgarh, although it can be done.

Ranthambhore national park is a better option and the tiger sight chances are really high in ranthambhore national Park.

The independent guide books all seem to suggest that Bandhavgarh provides the best chance of a Tiger sighting in the whole of India, but as Deepa has mentioned Bandhavgarh is a long way from any Golden Triangle tour.

I agree with Tim and the guide books.

Bandhavgargh is better and worth the extra effort to get there.

When you get there you will see more tigers than at Ranthambore,

To be fair Ranthambore is a lottery, and Bandhavgarh is a circus.
