Cancelon advertised a room at Ramada Kissimmee for $35. Booked 7 nights, which for some reason it converted on the credit card to £304 Sterling! Divide that by 7 and convert back to dollars makes $58.86 a night! Florida taxes are 6% + 7%! They have added 65%! Total rip off. Disappointed that Trip Advisor endorses them.

1. Re: Cancelon

Hi David;

1) This forum, like all the forums on TripAdvisor, is primarily member driven, peer-to-peer assistance. It is NOT an effective way of contacting TA staff.

2) TripAdvisor does NOT endorse ANY business. Think of TripAdvisor as a newspaper, and Cancelon as an advertiser. Cancelon pays TA to advertise on it's website.

Best Regards

Also it will have converted to dollars with foreign transaction fee possibily.

What was the price of room and total before you entered your credit card details?

What did the terms and conditions of the contract state before you booked?

You will find lots of threads and reports of problems with Cancelon on TA and other sites with a google search. You might find out why from those.
