How do we report false comments on our business page?

Two years in a row we have had a lady write a false comment about our restaurant, the first time she even went as far as to promote other restaurants to go to instead of ours. It is always around restaurant week, and I think she is working on behalf on other restaurants in our area. Is there a way to require a receipt that they actually dined in our establishment?

The concept of a copy of a receipt has been suggested on the HUMTAB Forum, several times.

To date, TA has never adopted such, and many members have made good arguments, for not requiring such.

As a complete aside, I avoid Restaurant Week, when I can.

Most of my friends, who own/manage restaurants, would ignore RR, if they could. It is usually not a “win/win”situation.

I wish that I had suggestions (beyond ignoring such folk/Reviews), but I do not.

I think that th ebest thing that any business can do is to respond politely and professionally. This allows them to put their side of the story across. But be careful. A poor management response can do more damage than a poor review.
