Amenity kits on Emirates.

Hi,

we will soon be going from London to the Maldives on the A380 and 777. Does anyone know if Emirates hand out amenity kits, namely stuff like toothbrush and toothpaste or do we need to pack our own in hand luggage. Many thanks.

Amenity kits are offered to First and Business class passengers on night flights and flights of seven hours and more.

Hi

It depends on which class you are flying. In Eco you will get socks, eye covers,I'm asleep etc... stickers. If Bus, a good kit with everything you need BUT only if it's a night flight, or over 7 hours. Good luck Maldives is Fab.....

Thanks for that, forgot to mention we are in economy. We know all about the Maldives as we are addicted to the place. It will be our 6th visit but first with Emirates.

Emirates are cutting cost, so socks and eye shades are not handed out anymore in economy. You have to ask for it.

At least that was the case on my 2 redemption flights in economy (CMB-HAM via DXB) 3 days ago.

Things like toothpaste and toothbrushes can also sometimes be found in the lavatories. Back then when Emirates didn't hand out amenity kits in Business (only just a packet of socks, eyeshades, and a sticker for the food), things like lotion and toothbrushes were all placed in the lavatory.

You'll probably find things like toothbrush and toothpaste in the lavatory, or just by asking. Sometimes you may see other things as well, like combs or lotion.

As I said, Emirates are apparently cutting costs. The only things available in economy lavatories were hand lotion and cologne spray. The rest you had to ask for.
