I'm flying from Europe to Los Angeles in 2 days time. Does anyone have any advice on how to tackle the 11 hour flight?!
Sit and watch the in-flight entertainment, read, sleep.
You can have the most rivetting conversation withe person sat next to you. On the other hand you can speak to your wife/husband .......:)
Whenever I travel with my wife/husband I make sure we are at opposite ends of the aircraft....
But why am I the one who winds up by the rear lavs and not in Biz Class???
Now this could develop into a really interesting thread! LOL
If 11 hours bothers you just be glad you dont live in Australia because it will be less than half the time of my 23 hour flight to Dublin next month. Sit back relax, watch the movies, read, eat and sleep. Once your on the plane you just have to go wiht it.
I always swollow some sleeping pills. I have never used these at any time excpet when flying and always use them on long haul trips.
I can see no reason to be awake on an airplane.

In the unlikely event of an emergency?
Try fast forwarding the progress map on your screen. Convert the metres into feet and Km to Miles, When you get this right a few times, start on the kph to Knots one and Celcius to Fahreheit. It will keep you busy for hours and you will be there in no time.
WV have you not worked that out yet?
Well, you'll have a meal and a movie, probably more than one of each. So add a little nap of an hour or three to that timeframe and you really only need worry about a spare 2-3 hours. You can easily spend that sleeping some more, reading a little something...
I will be flying on my own as well on the 21st, so I will bring a good book and some puzzles to fill in
I checked the movies already and there's nothing good
I just got a bit annoyed last year when the music channels seemed to be giving reruns all the time, so this year I will put a lot of songs on my mobile and enjoy my own music...
I think you'll find enough to do to fill those hours and of course you can always take a nap
have a nice flight
