Easyjet flight to Santorini

Hi. Is Easyjet flight from London Gatwick direct to Santorini a good choice? Reliable?

And is it best/OK to book direct on Easyjet site ?

Most certainly. There would be no benefit booking an easyJet flight through a third party.

It's a short flight in a metal tube so if what Easyjet offers fits with what you want then book with Easyjet, but always book direct on their website.

Hi. Is Easyjet flight from London Gatwick direct to Santorini a good choice?

<< Yes - as long as you understand it's a LLC airline.

Which means they charge for allocated seats, checked luggage and food on board - if you want those things.

It's also a point-to-point airline. Which means you pay them to get you from A to B. if anything goes wrong, you have no comeback with any other flights - you don't have a 'connection', just separate bookings. >>

Reliable?

<< They have been on the times I've flown Gatwick to Santorini (JTR).

Just note that Santorini's airport is in the middle of renovations / rebuilding. It needs it, as its currently unfit for purpose, especially Departures.

You need to allow plenty of time when leaving and be prepared for queues - the company managing the airport is working on making things go smoother. >>

And is it best/OK to book direct on Easyjet site ?

<< Definitely book directly, not via a third party. >>

Are you trying to get from Edinburgh to Santorini, via London (as per your other thread)?

If so, then see if you can get a protected connection with BA via Heathrow.

They fly to from there to JTR a few times a week.

For an unprotected connection, I'd want around 5 hours between flights.

We use Easy Jet from Gatwick for all our short haul flights within Europe.

They are very reliable , you can pre-book seats if you wish , be aware sometimes they make the tail enders in the boarding queue put their hand luggage into the hold , it's free but any high value items will need to be removed first.

I have used Easyjet to santorini, no problems. Just be aware that santorini airport is very small which can lead to delays for any airline.

if you are trying to get to Santorini from Edinburgh, as Kennydon says a "protected" connection is important. Easyjet (or any other airline) won't care if your first flight has been delayed, causing you to miss your 2nd flight with a different airline - it's not their responsibility unless all flights have been booked under a single reference number.

Not so I'm afraid, that's not neccessarily the case at Gatwick. Gatwick is an exception to that rule if the correct arrangements are made.

JockBoss, that only applies if you book via the gatwick connects service, which probably is doing the same as any other agent offering a protected connection.

It's all about ensuring your entire booking is under the same reference number. 2 flights booked independently of each other won't be a protected connection.
