For a 158 bag what are the actual measurements of the length, the width and the height?

I need you to identify the length, the width, and the height of 158cm. Please give the actual measurement for these.

If the size limitation for check-in bags is to be not more than 62" / 158 cm you add the length + width + height (L+W+H) of a bag.

Here’s an example http://www.flylite.uk.com/bag_dim.aspx

Are you trying to ask the airline?

Not sure that it matters what the H, L, and W are, but check the airline's website to find out if those matter to them or if only the total matters.

Which airline is involved, please?

That can make a big difference.

Good luck,

Sorry R_Squared, I beg to differ. I would say: 60cm + 80cm +18cm

To the OP - as others have said, it varies with the airline. Some have a total limit that you cannot exceed, others have limits on the individual dimensions.

If your airline has said L+W+D cannot exceed 158cm then as long as you don't, you should be OK. See example here from Air NZ: https:/…checked-in-baggage .

Some airlines will allow you to exceed these limits for sporting goods, or by paying for oversized baggage, again, from Air NZ: https:/…oversized-items .

I was happy with 2+100+56, but I thought Joyous might have wanted an alternative, sometimes, in cases like these, a second opinion can help :D

You're both wrong. It's 100x50x8, and exactly in that order (always longest dimension first).
