Some nice new features like price graphs and an actual map showing where the airport and nearby airports are located.
I "think" - it'll be loaded with more cookie monsters than my grans kitchen :: More click throughs for profit : less favourable airline prices for those that don't "pay up" the (business) protection dues :: I Think - it'll all be weighted in googles profit margin favour ;-)
But hey . . . . . it might just be to help all the poor souls lost without googleland :D
i just played around on it. Personally it is like Kayak on steroids. However, one thing that I did not find so far . Kayak allows searches for +/- 3 days of the departure and arrival date. I did not see a similar function. I will keep playing with it. Maybe just haven't found it.
bigwawao, just click on the "Dates" box at the top of the search results and it will open a calendar grid with prices for +/- 3 days for outbound and return, where each date can be scrolled forward or backward.
It's not possible to do multi leg trips?
you can do multi leg trips on it yes
it is missing some airlines i have noticed though
Oh I have to click. Thanks
>>>it is missing some airlines i have noticed though<<<
Ah-ha !! I have noticed that on quite a few of my returns on ITAmatrix recently (2-3 months) not so much so on googleflights.
Perhaps, just perhaps, my very TIC response in post 1 wasn't so far off the mark -- you don't pay, we don't display, or if we do it's not favourably. Time will tell, but you can bet your bottom buck it's geared for increased revenue ;-))
Just out of curiosity, which airlines is it missing? Is there an example search someone could cite? Not saying it's not, just would be nice to see a clear example to better judge why that would be.
Google is a business that's out to maximize profits. There is nothing wrong with that. However, if they make the experience too unfriendly to users, they will lose traffic.
