Had an impromptu Sunday lunch and was very pleased. The last time we visited the pub was dated and dirty but we are informed there are new owners(thank god). Gone is the yokle atmosphere and a new welcoming warm environment is in place. The beer is now tasty and the food was delicious. Our lovely waiter/barman Charlie recommended a chicken... More

Visted the pub on Sunday 23rd with my partner, 11 week old son and brother/sister in law. We were greeted at the door by a gentleman by the name of Charlie with a big smile who made us feel very welcome. The staff made the 5 of us feel very relaxed and the service was excellent from the moment we... More

We used to visit frequently under the previous ownership and it is so nice to see the pub without the 2 inches of dog hair and grime and it looks great! On entering the place though the staff are too busy either playing with their phones or simply finding other things to do instead of welcoming customers. One young regular... More

I am a local & so wanted our visit to fly in the face of the some 'local' views but sadly it was not to be. The Service was slow and uncoordinated with our main course taking over an hour to arrive. The food varied from very good to mediocre. So many small things from service to atmosphere needs attention.... More

The new team is working hard to keep the Plough as a popular place within the village, however on a bank holiday lunchtime it's not quite right yet. The food was ok but with the following comments, the calamari tempura was delicious, but charging £5.50 for just four pieces was a bit too much ( £1.35 per ring!). The plate of... More

Having never been to the Plough before we booked for lunch on Easter Sunday some time ago and was slightly concerned to read some of the recent negative comments from locals/regulars. As we walked through the door my concerns were allayed, our first impressions of The Plough were so heartwarming and the place so inviting we immediately felt at ease.... More

This pub is now under new management and has changed significantly in the last few weeks. The pub no longer serves food all day every day. Unfortunately on my first visit under new management my experience was poor. It was traditionally Wednesday pie night. The restaurant was virtually empty, unlike previously when essential to book to ensure your seat, the... More

This pub has recently changed hands - the new owners are only 4 weeks into their new venture albeit they have a lot of experience in the pub/restaurant trade. We hadn't eaten in the pub over the last few years and hadn't gone there for a drink either. However, we thought we would give it a go and have now... More

We called in on the night the pub re opened, it was very busy, quite a few locals checking out the newly refreshed bar and restaurant. A few teething problems that night, agrevated by a few 'regulars' ? who appeared to be testing the waters. We didn't eat that night but went back the following week and enjoyed a delightful... More
