Worked here briefly back in 2007 and loved every minute, both as a staff member and customer. Great location, decent sized outside area, cold beer, jager and plenty of fun!! Highly recommended!!

Good pub meal- steak was spot on. Pizza was a winner. Nice menu- pretty extensive, desserts were probably the one thing that could be improved upon- sticky date, chocolate brownie and 1 other were the choice. Crowd pleasers I guess. Staff were very good. Venue is good- really clean. Choice of indoors or outdoors. $65 for 2 for 1 course... More

I enjoyed my last few times there. Back in the old day as a little girl i knew the owner/manager... its been a while since I've been back. These days I'm just a regular customer. I told my husband's family and we were most pleasantly surprised. Great service, lovely guy. I had the fish and chips but he threw a... More

Had a nice company lunch. The food was good. My steak was prepared nicely. My colleague tried the Behemoth Burger but wouldn't recommend it, simply because the macaroni and chess spoilt the taste. The Barramundi and the burgers were excellent.

I love their steak sandwich, although I ordered chicken parmigiana for my self. They also had a good deal cheap beers on my visit. I love the restaurant, very cozy and the price were not so expensive. The bartender was funny and very friendly. Staff were nice too. :) always wanna come back here every time my partner wants to... The Broken Hill hotel is a good place to meet up for a drink but also for a meal. The nightly quality food specials are a good draw card, as are it's ambience and location.

If I owned this hotel I would take a serious look at the competency of the staff I employ. I can forgive the security guard for not being able to tell the difference between an 18 year old boy and a 37 year old man (he wasnt the sharpest tool in the shed). However, when the mistake was pointed out... More

Went with 5 friends for steak special which was shut off 2 weeks ago. Stayed and had dinner anyway. Steak burger was ok, as was fish n chips. Beef burger was of poor taste, bland and dry. Won't be rushing back.

We are locals that live within a 10 minute walk of the venue, so far the food has been average but convenient. Tonight we ordered the $15 steak and drink deal, obviously we weren't expecting a quality piece of meat for the price but what we were served was by far the worst steak either of us have ever eaten,... Description
Situated right on the edge of Perth City and Victoria Park's hippest thoroughfare is the dynamic Broken Hill Hotel. Come and join us on the corner of Albany Hwy and Harper Streets.

The Hotel, a previously decaying heritage icon, has been transformed into a bustling and vibrant venue not to be missed. The Broken Hill Hotel is one of Perth's best, serving great coffee all day, sumptuous lunch menus and in the evening, a stylish dinner menu based around dishes to share.

The modern pub food is served in healthy proportions using the freshest of local ingredients. The wine list is a comprehensive range of local and international varietals, augmented by a complete range of beer and spirits.

You can expect the best from the Broken Hill Hotel with an enthusiastic welcome, quality fresh cuisine, premium affordable wines, innovative design, all entwined within a lush terraced beer garden and an outstanding heritage building incorporating the bar/lounge/restaurant.

Broken Hill Hotel, Victoria Park, is a two-story federation free classical style hotel with prominent corner facetted dome tower which dominates the busy commercial thoroughfare of Albany highway in Victoria park.
The place was originally owned by Alfred George Russell, the second Mayor of Victoria Park and was designed by the architect and first Mayor of Victoria Park, Robert Thompson McMaster, and is a rare extant example of his work and the place is a fine and substantial example of a Federation Free Classical hotel, representative of the grandiose hotel architecture built in Perth and its immediate suburbs during the gold rush period.

Broken Hill Hotel constructed in 1897 and completed in 1898 was one of the first hotels to be constructed in the inner metropolitan area outside of the city's boundaries and is the oldest remaining hotel in Victoria Park.

The hotel was substantially renovated in 2005 and today is a Bar and Restaurant venue.
The Broken Hill Hotel has been included on the State Heritage List of Heritage places.
