We booked for our 16 yr wedding anniversary tonight. Took 30 mins to get menus and water.Took another 30 mins to order meals which we contemplated walking out. One of the waiters wasn't wearing black mask correctly. Finally got entrees and then had to ask...and wait for bread to go with the terrine. The food was good but the service was deplorable. We will never recommend or go again. So sad. the waiters looked miserable and kept apologising. Very disappointing. Nothing was offered to try to fix the wait. IMore

The joy here is that standard bistro favourites are done very very well. Quiet. Heavily carpeted with drapes. Even the hard of hearing do fine here. The wine list is modest in price and rather good. Cannot wait for current house restrictions are lifted to...visit againMore

The front of this restaurant is very unassuming, but inside there is a lovely French ambience, with several distinct spaces, as opposed to one large room. We were in a small "living room" with three other tables, so a very French feel and a quiet...atmosphere for us to enjoy. Food was amazing and they catered well for me being Gluten Free. After excellent scallops and steak tartare as starters, we both had the beef cheek for our main course - generous serves and absolutely delicious. Service was impeccable and the wine list included some good French options. We will definitely be returning.More

This was an amazing find. Every dish beautiful and the service was excellent. The ambiance was wonderful. We could actually have a conversation because of the attention to decor which minimised the reverberation of sound. Having dined at many French restaurants in Melbourne this is...as good as any. In fact it was better. We have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.More

We’re big fans of this great French restaurant - so keep coming back! We can’t go past the eye fillet - medium-rare to perfection and beautiful real French frites. The veg sides are so tasty (baby carrots, spinach and beans are all delicieux!) As our...waiter said today - we definitely get our iron fix here! I can’t have onion, which is no problem - I just avoid the sauces although I am told the Bernaise sauce is really good. French beers are great - as is the selection of local and French wines (my favorite is the Amarit Pinot Gris from our own Mornington Peninsula - just fabulous). The bread is apparently buckwheat from France - which I am told (by others at the table) is good! They don’t offer GF bread - which would be nice for those of us who can’t eat normal bread, but then the meals are SO good that NOT filling up with bread is a good thing (I think!). The service is impeccable (always), efficient and friendly. We love the fireplaces in winter and bay views on summer evenings - another big plus! All round just perfect!More

Great atmosphere, obliging service, good food. Not quite the tastes we were expecting, but enjoyable nevertheless.

We have been regular customers for some time now because we’ve always enjoyed the food however this time we were disappointed. I ordered the French onion soup which was served to hot to eat , also there was very little liquid in it ,mostly bread...and cheese which was burnt. For my next course I ordered their special which was snapper fillets. Extremely small fillets on a lot of vegetables that I couldn’t eat. My partner had crab croquets which were good and the cheese soufflé which wasn’t the best. Wine was good though. Perhaps a different chef or just an off night!More

My husband and I experienced beautifully prepared French cuisine at its best. The atmosphere was lovely. Service friendly and professional. The food was exquisite from the entree crab croquets to the main dishes ending with spectacular desserts. The wine list was extensive with wonderful choices...of cocktails cider or beer. Thank you for such a lovely well prepared meal.More

The attention to detail is very much part of the story of the restaurant. From the beautiful chandeliers to the door edges, a beautiful restaurant. The food very much reflects the best of parisian cuisine and the wine list is broad showcasing some beautiful reds...from France as well as some great local wines from Australia. A pure gem and after experiencing this restaurant for the first time, I will definitely be coming back. A true stand out in Brighton Victoria. I would have to say, it is probably the best restaurant in the area. A must try. We couldn't fault a thing. This is a must try. Absolutely loved.More
