Food is great but you need to have lots of patience. We waited for 1.5 hours for our ramen!!! We almost cancelled it! But they apologised for the long wait.

I've eaten at Japanese restaurants all over the world and Zen in Subiaco is up there with the best of them. Quiet little place with excellent, extremely friendly and quick service. Loved it.

After the let down of visiting a local festival. Our group of 4 decided to do a food crawl of local restaurant's. Entrée was to be at Zen. We were welcomed in with a friendly greeting and seated. Drink orders were taken shortly followed by our food order. Drinks and food were quickly delivered. 3 entree dishes shared amongst the... More

The two of us had dinner on Saturday night. We had mixed sashimi, teriyaki fish, edamame, eggplant and some house red wine. It was all delicious and came to around $90. The service was lovely and we got complimentary dessert. Winning!

The Zen Restaurant is somewhat hidden within a major shopping precinct off Hay Street in Perth, WA. It is worth the effort to find it (the locals can assist if needed) as the food is excellent, the wine list, although small is adventurous and very well priced, and the staff friendly and accommodating. On our recent visit the staff numbered... More

I have been here for lunch many times when travelling in Perth, I find it a consistently good light lunch. It's an easy enough place to have a business lunch and discuss things and not have to talk over others, as well as great place for a social gathering. Food is always good and you can't go past the Benito... More

It's a great find, to have a small genuine Japanese restaurant near the hub of Subiaco. It's within 2 minutes walking distance of the The Regal Theatre and the Subiaco train station, just need be prepared to look it up on the map as it's on Seddon St, which is basically a laneway running through a car park. We are... More

I've eaten here plenty of times now and don't usually review but the food is always so good I had to. Sashimi is world class and the flavours of all dishes have been excellent - even compared to the trips to Japan I do.
