The vegetarian spring rolls were okay, however the main dishes lacked flavour and spice. I was quite disappointed with the experience but the staff are very friendly.

Fried rice was average but the Satay Beef entree was very tough and apart from being hot it lacked flavour.

We returned to Ginling after several years of absence from Adelaide. On this Saturday night, the place was full. The cheerful host is attentive to all his customers, a rare sight indeed in most Chinese restaurants. Service was friendly, prompt and efficient. The servings were generous and very tasty. Will be back for sure.

Twelve for dinner so we choose the Banquet D. Had about ten courses and could not finish all the dishes. Excellent value for money, good quality Australian Chinese food and unobtrusive service made for an excellent celebration. Remember if you want the duck in a banquet then advance notice helps.

We have driven past this place for years and never ventured in until now. Great authentic Chinese food. We had the $26pp for 4 people banquet and literally rolled out of the restaurant with a take away container. Every dish was delicious. Decor is very basic but can't beat the value for money for a very tasty dinner.

Six of us hit Ginling for dinner late on Tuesday evening. the roast duck seemed even better than before, The combination omlette is great and the kids loved the honey king prawns. Forget the scallops with ginger and shallots - there is better on the menu. The beer was cold and the service friendly and the prices affordable for the... More

We are regulars at Ginling and have been for 15 years. We'd come here just for the Roast Duck. Crispy skin and the sauce is fantastic. We like ours boneless with Broccoli.YUM! YUM! Our other favourites are the large Spring Rolls, Salt and Pepper Squid, Black Pepper Steak, Scallop Omelette with XO Sauce, Pork and Green Beans with Chinese Olives,... More

Hubby and I went to the Ginling last night 1st Oct. for dinner - the food is so delicious - obviously true to flavour because 90% of customers were Chinese - great indication of authenticity. Just love this place and the food.

One of the best places for Chinese food in the South. Despite its outdated place/furnishings, the food compensates it. Food is one of the tastiest and authentic(appears) in the south area of Adelaide. Noodles is the best but you have to specify if you want really the Asian style, and they would do it for you. The servings are also... More
