The restaurant was suggested by the Concierge of the Sofitel hôtel, just in the voisinages. We were very nicely received by the young & proosperous team of collaborators in the sevice. I am a difficult client, rather siad, à demanding one! I was enchanted by the way and quality of Food, and most of all...sélection of wines. And all this... More

Great atmosphere, food was brilliant and the service was perfect. A restaurant to keep in your address-book as it is a great experience. Worth a star. Of course the prices are a little higher than a regular restaurant but for the meal we had, is was value for money. I would even say very well priced for the top quality... More

A fun little bistro not far from the fountain with ample drink choices. I thought it was great for a snack or dinner. The wait staff were attentive.

This comment is not about our place. Stirwen is a fine dining restaurant, not a snack nor a bistro, and there is no fountain in the neibourghood. This review must be about an other place. More

Simple and elegant, you have a good dining atmosphere with tables not too close to each other which is better than most of the restaurants in this area. Waiters here give you personal attention with great service. The ingredients are fresh and of good quality. For lunch menu, you will always have the choice between fish and meat for both... More

Business dinner for 6 on a weekday. Not too busy, but the very friendly staff struggles to keep up with the guests initially, but recovers quickly. Amuses and food are very good and in line with the price. Good wine list, with an interesting choice of Bordeaux and Bourgogne. The one bottle with cork was solved swiftly by the maitre.... More

My friends and I opted for the 4 course "surprise" dinner with matching wines. The "amuses" were excellent; service also very good, but sometimes , etc. The 2 appetizers were wonderful; the 2nd wine was a delicious chardonnay, but it didn't go so well with a beautiful plate of green pea variations. We opted for the dry aged beef for... More

This is a true little find in Brussels. We enjoyed the 4 course menu and were offered two amuse-bouches, sole munière, tartare of oysters and fish and some of the best pigeon I have ever tasted. Add to this an impeccable and friendly service and it is clear we had a tantalizing evening for a very acceptable 165 Euro for... More

I ate here only twice with the new management, while I came a bit more often with the previous cook. Nothing to complain about the food, it was excellent and still it is – I must say it has maybe even improved the past performances, here and there. Shame the improvement came along with a quite significant increase in price,... More

Dear Roberto, Thank you very much for your review. We are glad you've kept on coming since ownership has changed, and we are even more glad that you can maybe even find an improvement since then. We are very surprised that you find prices higher than before... because they have even be reduced! The three-courses lunch was at 40€ (since... More

I visited Sterwin twice in my 5 days in Brussels. Awesome!! Food is top notch, not pretentious. That's coming from a "foodie" who is extremely picky. Unlike most top notch places, they give good portions. Service is impeccable. Both meals were flawless. They even recommended other excellent restaurants in the area. Can't say enough.

Tried their signature dish Lievre Royal / Royal Jack Hare and it was astonishing! The dish is heavy... but extremely tasteful as it uses the Hare completely in a slow cooking process and foie gras is added in the center. Decorated with tick sauce, shaved truffles and veggies. I loved it !!!Taste of hare could be too dominant or dish... More

Description
Welcome to the Stirwen!
To cook, to host, to satisfy...Our principle is based on our passion for gastronomy.
In Brussels, at the heart of the Jourdan area, in the shadow of the European institutions, the Stirwen restaurant is a place in which well-eating rings as a gentle melody.
Such is our philosophy: regional and seasonal cuisine, respectful of the product, portioned generously, a bond between tradition and inventiveness. A cuisine right in its time, right in its place.
Refined in professional chic, you will find yourself in a comfortable and elegant decor. The restaurant lends itself to any opportunity, from the business lunch to the long table.
For your function, professional or private events, we provide you with a private dining room upstairs.
