We went to @shalomkingsford and It was fantastic I really loved it! Went I went there, the environment just hit me with authenticity and when I was eating the food it just tasted authentic!! The sambal(chilli) was so hot but so delicious that I just...wanted more and more!! The only thing negative I could say is that the portion sizes was in the small size and wish it could be a little bigger! I would only give this a 4/5 but still recommend coming here!!More

I decided to dine in at this restaurant for the last 2 nights. If you want to go and dine here and do not want any customer service from the staff then go ahead. Customer service? There is none in this restaurant. The staff dont...seem to understand customer service. When you place your dinner order the only thing the staff say to you is to repeat your order to make sure they have got it right. There are no smiles, no thank you or no engagement at all. I used to eat here many times over the last 8 years as I only live around the corner from Shalom. The food is okay, just average I feel even though the prices are now higher than when I first started going here. I ordered 5 chicken satay sticks with rice at $15.00. I could quiet finish and went to the front counter to ask for a takeaway container. The cook provided me with a take away container and plastic bag which I thanked her for. She did not mutter one word to me, not even thank you for dining or goodbye. I will not be going back to this restaurant at all in the future. I am one of those people that likes to be welcomed in any business that I go into. I totally didn't feel this way at all. So much for this restaurant trying to encourage patrons to come back to try to recoup money that they have lost because of covid19 restrictions. I wont be going back I promise.More

Pay after you ordered restaurant. All Indonesian food. Staff are not friendly seems like they are bored and don’t want to be there. Very minimum conversation to customer. Ordinary tasting food and nothing special. Many restaurants with better choices and tasting food.

Came in for a late lunch, the place seems to have customers at all hours. The food is cheap, tasty, served efficiently and excellent value for money. We had a delicious eggplant with chilli, an equally delicious fried tofu with home made peanut sauce, a...decent gado gado, made with salad and which didn't include egg and potato but had tasty tofu and tempeh, and a chicken and mushroom noodle soup. There's only two people working there, taking orders, cooking and cleaning, you've got to admire them, especially as all dishes were served so promptly. A great place for the hungry uni students in the area.More

Looking for a quick tasty bite? This is the place to go. Get some classic Indonesian grilled or fried chicken or grab something different like their ox tail soup. If you like it spicy try their fiery shalom sambal sauce, be warned it’s extremely spicy....Feeling a bit hot from all the spicy sambal? Cool down with an Indonesian avocado ice drink.More

All i can say everything is average. We order bakso abang abang, ayam bakar bumbu bali and batagor and coconut ice. It was okay it was not too good but also not too bad. There was nothing special. It still cant satisfy our longing for...Indonesian taste. Price was okay not too expensive but not cheap either. Place is always crowded so if you can get sit before ordering that would be better.More
