Nice little restaurant with quality food. We were with four people, had the scallops and mussels appetizers (the sauce for the mussels was awesome), flounder and fish pie main courses, which were very good but the fish pie was a bit too salty, and several of the vegetable and potatoes side dishes that were great. Very helpful service and a pleasant atmosphere to top it off.

Celebrating a birthday and anniversary weekend. We were recommended to go to Brown Sugar in Bondi. This restaurant is an absolute hidden gem in the back streets of Bondi!
From the complimentary marinated olives (served warm in a delicious olive oil) to the large range of dishes to choose from (lots of gluten-free options which i loved) to their hazelnut chocolate fondant (was the absolute best), followed by coffee and chocolate brownies to finish. We could not have asked for more of a perfect night!
Deciding on the later sitting was definitely an added bonus as we were able to have a little longer than 2 hours.
Our meals were all delicious, my partner particularly enjoyed the Wagyu rump. It was outstanding.
A super busy night, however, the waiters were just so attentive.
We had heard about Brown Sugar, however, had not been before, what a hidden Gem! Definitely our new favourite ❤️

I just wanted to say a big thank you.
I came for dinner 2 weeks ago.
Firstly i couldn’t book online but you have managed to fit us in at 6:15pm, which was perfect.
The food was exceptional, really enjoyed the complimentary olives on arrival.
Every dishes were full of flavors, and the desserts were absolutely fantastic.
But most of all, i just wanted to thank our lovely waiter, he was friendly, talkative, smiling, asking us about our day, he was very genuine. At the end he had to rush us as we were taking our time but he has been able to do this with a great professionalism.
I really appreciate his manners and it made the experience even more memorable.

We went there for a birthday party few days ago. The gentleman who served was very pushy and promoting only expensive wine. He was also filling up glasses in order for us to order another bottle expensive wine.
The music was very very loud and is was very difficult to hear our friends.
However food was very good.
If you want a quiet place to have dinner or are looking for impeccable service, go somewhere else.

A strangely mixed experience. Space and staff are warm and welcoming. Love the fact that you can BYO a great bottle of wine for $25 corkage. Food was good, but the icon fish pie was missing something. Gnocchi, Cabbage Salad and Pork Belly was lovely. The main issues were with the bill. Three items were charged for more than they were listed on the menu. Was also charged $4pp for still water although we specifically asked for tap water. Either way, the nite was hot and the water was tepid, and far from plentiful. Extra charges/overcharges added up to $20 which left a bad taste in the mouth. Not sure I'd go back and would only recommend with caveats.

I went to a girls Bruch on the weekend in Bondi. I had the BEST breakfast at Brown Sugar.
I ordered the breakfast platter - the vegan version, adding mushrooms on the side.
Absolutely the most scrumptious breakfast I've had in Sydney!
Highly recommend this place. Great atmosphere and service too.
I'm looking forward to going back to try the dinner menu.

We have visited so many times and always order the fish pie. I’m sure the rest of the menu is amazing but we travel a long way to savour every mouthful of that deliciousness so we just cannot bring ourselves to try anything else. Last night was no exception, just wow! Thank you once again for never letting us down and always exceeding our expectations!!!

Arrived on Sunday for the roast, the lady kindly had a table for us as we didn’t book (booking recommended for the Sunday roast as word has travelled and it was pretty busy!)
Absolutely smashed the roast, honestly 9/10 couldn’t fault it at all.

We went here for our breakfast and it was very good. It was a very popular place but we got a table fast and the service was good. The scrambled eggs and bacon was the best we've eaten so far in Sydney! They also had good gluten-free options for my girlfriend.

If the scallops are on the menu they are a must have.
A big shout out for Tom and Peta on our month stay in Australia this was by far our best restaurant

Payment system sucked and would not allow online payment for take away. Went to the restaurant in person and was told they don’t do take away because the wait is too long. Fix your system! Waste of time and money for mediocre experience

Delicious, outstanding, class, awesome! Every dish the four of us had was brilliant! The whole family wants to come back, and soon. And the service and vibe was spot on. Brown Sugar is a little gem in Bondi.

Friendly and accommodating service with a great menu. Something to suit everyone. They have a good brunch menu as well as lunch. Busy wee cafe about 4mins walk, away from the Main Street. Drinks came out a little slow on such a hot day but not a big deal really as once they arrived they were delicious.

Bondi’s slice of European heaven! Not a detail is missed. Exceptional service, fresh menu, sophisticated decor, and an extensive drinks menu. Do yourself a favour and make Brown Sugar a regular go to. Thank you for an unforgettable evening!

Amazing neighborhood gourmet gem! We had the mussles snd the ceviche for starters and ribeye for the main. The sauce on the mussles was divine. The salmon ceviche perfectly balanced and the ribeye cooked to perfection! The cripspy potatoes were decadent. Service was super attentive and so convenient to sllow for BYO wine. Loved it! ❤️
