Got a tonkotsu this time and it was heavier than their other soups but still lightweight for my tastes. They excel at the rest of it though, with wonderful melty pork slices and a perfect egg. Still a bit overpriced considering the basic setting and considering that Menya can do better for less.

For the past 25 years I sometimes ate at Ichibanboshi in Bondi Junction. Every time I enjoyed their ramen. I tried some other ramen shops in Sydney. Ramen soup of Ichibanboshi is lighter and closer to the ramen I ate in Tokyo area. I still think Ichibanboshi makes the best ramen in Sydney.

I am a long time customer. Been visiting for years with my Japanese speaking friend. The menu is good, food fresh, hot and consistent. You have to choose and pay before getting a table which is ok providing you remember everything and don't mind looking at the colour wall menu while others are waiting. Its all about the food. Its not spectacular but quite good. I only wish that Mr & Mrs Grumpy, (who take the money) could crack an occasional smile. Perhaps they are clever robots. Recent staff shortages like many places. But please, cheer up.

Me are partner who both ate the soup got classic msg symptoms (heart palpitations, headache, nausea). Not recommended, I feel totally ordinary.
If you don't mind MSG the food does taste great.

Cost, location and food is good. Ambience is average. The wait staff are generally fast and friendly but the counter staff who takes your order has always been rude.

Super flavourful ramen soup with good texture ramen! The pork slices are not too fatty and everything was superb! Their chicken kaarage is highly recommended too!

The smaller cousin of the giant ramen factory in the CBD, this branch looses nothing of the delicious food which keeps us coming back.
The ramen is big and hearty, the salmon don fresh as and light. When we are looking for a sure bet after a day at the nearby beaches, before trekking back to the north shore via multiple public transport connections, it is crucial to get a preliminary morale boost in. Ichiban-Boshi Bondi never fails to perk up the troops.

Like its sister restaurants in the city, this place is always packed. Offering the same delicious menu, its good value and service is fast. I love the noodles here which is huge, warming, satisfying and comforting. I love the katsu which is so crunchy on the outside and tender inside. The curries are so tasty and on a nice day nice to sit outside.

Yesterday my friend and I ordered one Tofu Ramen and the Chicken Karaage Ramen. Though the two ramens tasted fine at the time, my friend felt very sick afterwards and got symptoms of food poisoning resulting in him having to go to the doctors. I believe the food is tasty at the restaurant except doubt there's any high level of hygiene in the kitchen due to the poor quality of the chicken.

We enjoyed a very tasty dinner here. The food tasted fresh and was full of flavour. The service was quick and the staff were polite. Prices were very reasonable as well.
