Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Got there at the busy time of evening and it was full up and had several people waiting outside to get in what is a very small place. Really wanted to eat there because of reviews and to try a new kind of food, so we decided to put our name on the wait list and hang in there. The floor manager/waitress was extremely nice and helpful in keeping us abreast with tables about to empty etc so we got seated sooner than expected and it was well worth the wait. Its street food, tasty, filling and well priced. The place has atmosphere and sitting outside in the warm sea air was lovely. There was a lot of Spanish being spoken around us and it all felt pretty exotic. A great experience.

Visited this place for the first time to taste some South American food and it was delightful. Ordered the CORRIENTAZOS with shredded chicken, beans, salad and rice with some mini arepas and sweet plantain also tried the Apple soda. Amazing lunch after a long walk from Coogee. Would love to try other options available next time.

El Indio, South American Street Food, was a surprising, tasteful find in Bondi Beach. The corrientazos (bowls) were filled with a variety of well-prepared items, and a simple, delightful step away from the usual dining choices. We sat at a counter-height table outside, ordered from a QR code from a straightforward menu, and the food was delivered after a short wait. We left pleasantly full and satisfied.

Booked a table on a cold evening.
Turned up, and the restaurant was full so the option for our table was at the bar or outside in the cold.
The music was so loud inside and with the small space being very packed, we felt that outside was the better option.
Unfortunately it was quite windy and cold so it wasn’t a pleasant experience in terms of atmosphere.
The menu is quite basic, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I feel that it caters to most people.
We selected the beef plate which consisted of pulled beef, rice and some other aides. The portion was extremely generous for the price ($25). While all the sides were delicious, the beef didn’t have as much flavour as I hoped for.
All in all, food was good but I would give it a miss in future based on the noise levels and seating options.

The vibe of the restaurant is super cool and intimate. Service was friendly and speedy!
You have to know and or like Colombian food. The portions of the Bowls are great for $30. I couldn’t finish mine.
The chicken Bowl was by far the tastiest between the Beef and Lamb Bowls. It has the avocado smashed in the chicken so you cannot ask for avocado on the ‘side’. It was delicious.
The dessert of cheesecake was scrumptious and a lovely portion for $15.

Did the takeout arepas with the pulled brisket, The 'Bondi Pavillion'; delicious, plentiful, the black beans and salsa with the brisket was just insane. The plantains something new and unusual. If this is Columbian food, I'm a fan from hereon in. The wait for the order was worth it.

The food was good eventhough the beans were not well cooked nor seasoned.
On the otherhand, the WC were not completely clean and really need some maintance, really basic WC for the price paid to eat.
Otherwise the decoration was nice, it made me feel in a familial restaurant.
The waiter was really nice too.
In summary, a good concept with great potential but with things to improve.

This place is consistently amazing. It is by far my favourite place to eat. If you are in the area I beg you to try it, you won’t be disappointed. The only issue I’ve ever had is when I try to book a table it is often not ready when we arrive and we have to wait anyway. But this food is worth waiting for!
