We found the food delicious and the staff very friendly. We both had the confit duck with chips, it was all good especially the chips cooked in duck fat. The baked cheesecake I had for dessert was wonderful and a proper sized portion.

Really delicious lunch here, accompanied by very nice wine. Even managed to fit in dessert. Also excellent.

All four of us agreed the champagne was flat and it’s replacement was no better. We then agreed to order another brand and pay the difference. Before the bottle arrived the chef came storming out arguing there was nothing wrong with either bottle! A strange...More

This is such a fine-dining gem in our Brunswick neighbourhood. The eating experience here is special. The place is warm, intimate and individual while also sophisticated. Its French aesthetic is simple and complete, and the whole set-up works to make you entirely comfortable to enjoy...More

I'll admit we only stepped in here because we had a creme brulee craving and what a fabulous idea it was... The staff were friendly and helpful and the creme brulee was divine!! We'll definitely be back for 'real' food in this quaint little place......More

Very sensible careful selection of both food and wine - not overly ambitious in the scale of offerings which is probably why they have managed to achieve near perfection at bistro prices. There are occasional extras (not included on the web published menu), such as...More

This beautifully decorated little café has so much promise. Menu options are high brow, with a price to match. The ristretto I ordered came out as a full shot, and was unpleasantly bitter. The cheese tart and poached egg, with rocket and balsamic vinaigrette was...More

This was our second family visit to The French Milk Bar and won’t be the last. The house made bread is delicious. We shared the charcuterie with cheese and loved everything. The pate was exceptionally smooth and the duck prosciutto was a standout. The menu...More

Went with husband for lunch. Limited menu but everything was very well presented and delicious. A fine example of concentrating of keeping to a small menu to provide excellent meals. We shared the cassoulet for two and it was satisfying, very tasty and meat just...More

It’s a 3.5 but as that wise reviewer has suggested it’s probably one of those ones that’s closer to a 4 than a 3. It’s a good place overall. The restaurant looks good from outside and feels good inside. It’s light inside but not alarmingly...More
