This is a well known family run restaurant in a orivate large house in la goulette, tunis offering kosher food. Cooked by mami lilly. You can eat inside the house or outside in the courtyard. Not at all pretentious. Basic. Excellent starters, all very tasty. The main couses are all simply some better than others. The wine was the biggest shock... More

This great restaurant offers a true old-fashioned tunisian jewish cuisine in a warm setting, it's like everuone's grandma's house and we love it! Try the couscous and the madfouna!

Prefect if you like home cooked local fare, with a twist (in this case, the twist is that it is kosher). We asked our hostess to decide what we would like, and we don't regret it. Warm family environment, good simple food, well presented.

I envy Tunisia. Lily offers you the experience of having an old jewish granma. A moment full of yiddish humour, taste and love that you can have in no other restaurant. Run there before the modern times sweep it!!

Worth of a visit, the restaurant is the last testimony of the Jewish/Sefardi tradition with strong roots to Andalusia. A bit far from Tunis center , you need probably a taxi. The garden is nice, the food is good, the uniqueness of the place is moving.

As soon as you get in, you feel this is a family place. Mamie is there, in the vestibule, not very welcoming, but like part of the history and charm of this place. The staff (and her son I think) were very kind and welcoming, and helped us with our crying babies and various questions. The food is excellent, no... More

We loved this little Restaurant. It gives the impression of sitting in a living room, being served by a real mamie.

This restaurant is one of those restaurants that can make a trip for you. It is basically an old lady's home with an outdoors sitting area. The chairs are plastic, the ambiance leaves a little to the imagination and the dishes are hearty but not well crafted - and somehow it works perfectly. Yes, the charm of it all overcomes... More

Mamie Lily welcomed us warmly, as did Lola her dog. The atmosphere is beautifully informal and relaxing; we ate outside on the terrace, unhurried and relaxed. The menu is so good that we couldn't decide what to have so we asked the waitress to make her recommendation. This is the best solution if you are visiting for the first time.... More
