Unforgettable Night with Friends! Our dinner at the colonial was absolutely amazing. Loved the food. Quick service.

Food portions were generous and all just delicious! We especially enjoyed the Bombay beef. Manager and staff were friendly too.

i have been here about 6 times since our first visit. the food is amazing here and service is always spectacular! the food comes quickly unless it's a busy night. very family friendly restaurant with pictures on the walls talking about the history between britain...and india. would definitely recommend coming here. probably the best indian cuisine i've ever had!More

Our entrees were very bland and surprisingly chicken pakora, surely a simple, standard dish, was inexplicably unavailable. Our curry mains were excellent. Prices were reasonable but service was offhanded and underwhelming.

We often enjoy an Indian meal and tonight we had one of the best: a vegetarian platter for entree then Railway Goat Curry and Lamb Saagwala (both with medium heat) with cheese & olive naans and steamed rice. Plus a palate cleansing apple cider. The...flavors were exquisite with the perfect blend and amount of spice. We're regulars here but tonight was one of the best. Highly recommended. But make sure you ask for medium heat (or hotter if you're adventurous) to get an authentic experience. You'll feel like you're in Mumbai.More

Dealing with the Restaurant owner Dolly Kaur has been a nightmare . In all the years I have been working in hospitality she would have to be the most unprofessional caterer I have come across . We had a Diwali event scheduled in our office...a month ago and had used B.C. Indian restaurant for our office catering . On the website she had these entree cups which looked amazing and thought how wonderful to have these on that day . Instead we got a substandard delivery of food and presentation and a total rip off !! I even gave her the choice to come back or give us a refund . She ended coming back to Re cater for us 2 weeks later . Yep you guessed it !! …another disaster . She got the catering wrong . Finally to rub salt in the wound , she has not given us a tax invoice nor receipt of the original bill ( which she said we would get a 50 % discount) and she would forward this to our business account. We made a reservation for 7pm, for a birthday celebration, on a Monday night. Ourselves and another family were the only people in the restaurant. Service was shocking. Waited 15 minutes to order, over 1 hour for the meal, roti was burnt and cold. No...side dishes, like chutney, mint etc. We were told they were licensed but had no white wine. We brought our own, then we’re charged $28 corkage. We had to ask for water, ice, and the bill! Just no attentive staff. We asked to speak to the manager and we’re told he was away, and there was no manager. As a restaurant chain they really need some quality focus on staff and service delivery. Generous starters and the best chicken tikka masala I’ve tasted for a long time (other places make it so sweet, too watery etc.). My partner ordered a HOT vindaloo which didn’t disappoint…. finally a place that isn’t afraid to ramp up the heat! The service...was impeccable, the venue cosy and we had a lovely chat with the owner afterwards. Looking forward to many more visits. Thanks for a lovely evening!More

This was exactly the experience I was after, that nostalgic blend of British Indian food that reminds me of Indian food served in London. The menu is authentic and the flavors just right. Would visit again for sure.

Ordered a curry and rice for home delivery. Was a generous serving - 1 portion enough for two persons. Downside was booked 7pm delivery, driver couldn’t find apartment, so I had to wait on the street for 15 mins to direct him and wave to...flag him down. Received order just before 8pm. Current wait times in Oct 2021 are 2.5 hours if you order online - they open at 5pm and first delivery is 7:30pm. Would order weekly if delivery turnaround was better.More
