Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The baked goods were mass produced uninspiring and bought in from a factory, they weren’t artisan, similar to what you’ll find in Coles or Woolies. The smell of the deep fryer was off putting but there were no seats outside. The noise was intense but...I guess people come for the waterside location . We decided to walk out and find something more delicious. The food didn’t look like the photos on Google so it’s not always a great indicator. We are local to Sydney so jumped back in the car and drove up to Neutral Bay shops in search of something similarly priced but mouthwatering which we definitely found!More

Nice little café obviously popular with the locals. Good range of options and no problem with Gluten free. Not particularly cheap but worth it. Grab a spot on the verandah if you can but views of the water are available from every table. They will...also provide take-away if you are on a budget.More

This is an amazing little piece. On the water with a lovely view. Only very small so bookings may be essential. Lovely yummy pastries to choose from. Little veranda over the water. Breezy on a cool day but still so amazing. The staff were pleasant...and was reasonably priced also. Parking is difficult as it is around that area. Still worth itMore

Over the 20 years I have lived locally, I have been to Thelma and Louise regularly and am sorry to say it has gone downhill since COVID hit. For no apparent cultural reason, the menu now features some Middle Eastern salad arrangements that are sadly...gritty and dry, lacking in flavour and variety. There was only a dribble of tahini on the lamb dish I had today which featured a "mint salad" of shredded cabbage and little else, all for $30, and it did not sit well in my stomach afterwards. I think I was paying for the view from the balcony. There was no acknowledgement of my presence when I walked in and waited to be seated. I am in a similar business so know that it is important to acknowledge your customers/clients when they arrive. The cafe was half-full but I had to stop a passing waitress who had no idea that service is better when it comes with a smile. While this was not exactly rude, I think it does qualify as "unwelcoming". Last year, I shared a table for two and we tried the delicious-looking cakes for dessert. Disappointingly, these were stale and had been sitting uncovered in the sun on display in the window, which I find bizarre. Such a pity when the location is perfect and it used to be a great place to eat, especially the Eggs Benedict. Maybe brunch is all they do well now but I am not tempted to try again. Even the takeaway coffee is uninspiring.More

Sadly about the worst dining experience this year. Food arrived spasmodically, due to preparing take away meals, and there was a 10% surcharge as there were more than 5 people at the table.

Magical time at Thelma and Louise... got a car spot right out the front, a table right on the water and although we were a little late for breakfast, we were able to have a big breakie and falafel bowel anyway. Staff were lovely, obliging...and nothing was too much trouble. Then there was the beautiful food and amazing view... or the amazing food and beautiful view. LOVED our experience on all levels and will definitely be back when we have another adventure in Sydney. THANK YOU THELMA and LOUISE and staff.More

Went for Father’s Day brunch with family. Pretty much everything that could go wrong did go wrong. Expensive and disappointing food. We were sad that it felt like poor value with little care taken with quality. Our adult kids were treating us and embarrassed that...so much went wrong. Incorrect meals brought to table, hard eggs etc. One person received their meal when everyone else had finished. The location is superb but they just weren’t coping.More

We went here for breakfast on 13 August 2022. It’s a great location right on the ferry pier at Neutral Bay. There is a good selection of breakfast and lunch options. I had the scrambled trout on croissant which I liked. My partner had poached...eggs that were way over cooked and hard. It’s nice enough here but the staff are quite rude. There was not one please or thank you the whole time we were there. It’s all just a bit abrupt and officious. When I paid I suggested that maybe saying thank you to customers might help. They just stared at me with a blank look. So, while this place is nice enough they need to work on their customer service.More

Nice location. Staff very interested in serving those around us, obviously we did not have the right look. We ordered cake with our tea, did not deliver. Finished our drinks etc and then asked again..... watched those tables around us receive theirs.... still no delivery....After half an hour from the second request, decided to pay and leave. Alerted the manager and got "oh, sorry about that" and end of story. Hope to never have to go here again.More

We came for a coffee during the May '21 COVID restrictions when hospitality staff were required to wear masks. The staff were pleasant and the service prompt, but of the 3 staff we encountered, not one was wearing their mask properly. Two had them over...their mouths but not over their noses, and the other was protecting his beard but not his mouth or nose. If this is how much they care about their customers, and about meeting health regulations, perhaps the location shouldn't be enough to keep us giving them another go.More

Lovely café at the Neutral Bay wharf where you can enjoy a meal while watching the kayakers and ferry commuters. Delicious breakfast of lamb mince with eggs and scrambled eggs on toast. Eggs done to perfection.

Personally I don't do functions but Thelma & Louise might. Give them a call. Don't bother if you proposed function is for more than about 25 people though - it's not the biggest restaurant
