We popped in for Sunday lunch last weekend & for £15.95 for three courses it was a lovely tasty good value Sunday lunch. Has recently been taken over & they are doing a great job, nice atmosphere & very friendly.

The Fox Inn is a nice pub, like many others. However, the food was shockingly bad.By reading the previous positive reviews, I can only think that I was very unlucky or that something has changed. I could have cooked much better myself. So, even though I could go back again for a beer, never again dinner there!

Just what you want in a country pub. Friendly welcoming locals say around the bar having a group conversation. We eat here twice a month. It's not our local but we treat it as such as far more warming than our local!!

We called in to this pub whilst on a day's cycling trip round villages near Bury St Edmunds. We were there shortly before they closed for the afternoon - note they are shut between 2 and 4pm. We didn't tackle their full menu although it looked deliciously tempting but were treated to some wonderfully tasty plates of hors d'oeuvres as... More

We were cycling from Cambridge to Bury St Eds and stopped here after visiting the great church at Denham. The proprietors were very friendly, the beer and cider were excellent and the food... was magnificent: we had just starters, of goat's cheese, honey and walnuts on bread, and also plates of charcuterie and vegetarian items: all absolutely delicious, with superb... We wanted to find a local dog friendly pub for lunch after a walk with the dog for my birthday and chose the Fox. Reviews here were very good so we gave it a shot and were not disappointed. The pub is very cosy, with a few locals having an afternoon drink and chat. The dining area is in a... More

Tucked away in the suffolk countryside 6 or so miles from Newmarket, this wonderful little pub and restaurant in the village of Ousden and is just what you would imagine and look for to stop for a drink book for a meal. This is a typical village pub with a lively community of customers and a centre for the village... More
