Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you have never had Turkish ice cream this cafe is your perfect introduction. The selection of flavours is great as is the service. The only drawback is that being in the Newtown foodie strip the cafe is very busy and seating is at a premium. You can also grab a fantastic coffee.

They mainly serve one thing here, ice cream, and they do it well & it's good enough to rival the other famous gelato joints in the area. I was with a group of friends who came here after a restaurant night out & there were no complaints. 2 scoops of flavourful ice cream for under $10 is great. I had a wild berry & a Turkish delight, both were amazing, not too sweet & very tasty. I picked up a piece of baklava & that was pretty decent too. The fact they stay open until 11:30pm is great, it seems like anyone coming out of a restaurant nearby makes their way to this place for dessert because it's low cost & it's fast & delicious. There was a constant line of people getting in for the time I was there, and for a good reason. People want something that tastes good, is cheap, and they want it fast. This place does all of that.

Visited Hakiki At global Village opposite of UAE pavillion, I have to say I was amazed at the Taste and quality of the baklava. It tasted so good and not too sweet ,it was freshly made , also tried their kunafa with cheese which again was so delicious and so filling. You have to try their mastica and hazelnut coffee which was so damn good. I highly recommend you all to try this sweet delicacy spot. They also have borek that you can try.

Interesting combo of ice cream shop and coffee shop plus turkish delight and baklava. Several varieties of each and hot tea, as well. Very flavorful ice cream! My husband and I preferred it to the more popular Messina. We also tried the Hakiki slice, basically a baklava ice cream sandwich. So good!

We like their ice cream. The coffee is unique. Desserts are not daily made due to they use long tray so it can be days. The shop opened late, not as mentioned on its websites. The most scariest thing is customer service. I have been living in Sydney nearly 12 years. This staff who served us is the worst I ever seen.

My friend Made me accompany her for her second visit in the same week because she loves it. Her choice was cinnamon and banana and it was spectacular. My choice was baklava which was honestly below average in flavour, some honey would have fixed it. Next time the rockmelon and fetta is alllll mine, and the Turkish coffee & cream was yum!!! Oh unless the staff spray rexona inside the place again... not sure what that was about but if you read this, yuck, that made us leave...

A great place for having wonderful turkish . The icecreams have really interesting flavours especially the ones with fruits. The kanafeh is amazing as well but they make the one only with the cheese. There might be a bit of wait to find a table especially on weekends so do keep that buffer in mind. Overall great treats, great staff and great ambience. Highly recommended.

Delightful! Stopped in after lunch as a treat for the teenagers and to try Turkish ice cream. The choice of flavours are different and interesting, making the decision hard. The sour cherry, OH MY GOD! The staff were warm, welcoming and made the whole experience delightful. Will definitely be back to try some more flavours. Oh, the hubby and 19 year old had Turkish coffee. It cam with a little square of their Turkish delight, hubby said he loved it and he doesn’t usually like it, they have plenty of flavours on offer, so will definitely try another next time.

I was in Turkey for a holiday exactly one year before this visit. Service was well mannered and attentive. I had a scoop of raspberry and peach and another of coffee and cream Turkish ice cream and it was that true wonderful, yummy, creamy, stretchy stuff, just like in Turkey. To finish off I had a lovely fresh Turkish tea, again exactly like Turkey (I could drink that tea all day). I'm looking forward to my next visit- I think I'll try the fig and walnut ice cream next, or maybe the burnt caramel.

Not a big icecream fan but I'd return to Hakiki Turkish Ice Cream & Baklava when I'm in the neighbourhood. Icecream somehow richer and creamier but not too sweet. My selection had just the right amount of baklava through it. Simple and delicious.

I went back to Haikiki specifically for ice cream made with mastic gum. Unfortunately I was told that they no longer use it. No point of difference from other excellent ice cream shops in the area.

Spotted this unexpectedly treasure of delectables on our way to our car following an amazing lunch at ‘A Taste of Turkey’ across the road. As full and as satisfied as my wife and I were from lunch, I just couldn’t not venture in to this find. Was a VERY good decision! Yum yum and again yum! I had the kesme sandwiched between a sliced wedge of pistachio baklava with a Turkish coffee to follow. Surprisingly it wasn’t as sweet as I had expected, neither the baklava nor the kesme which was a bonus. Fresh, very tasty, and definitely worthwhile. If you at this end of Newtown or Enmore, definitely a must snack.

Went there for the first time to taste their ice cream. Great display and cozy place to hang out. Didn't realised that I was overcharged for items that I didn't ordered. Be careful and check what you are charged. I won't go there again.

Was headed to Cow & The Moon where we have been before but decided to try here instead. Read some reviews before ordering and went for the Rockmelon and Fetta (great) and Banana and Cinnamon (so,so). Interesting texture. Will return to try the Hazelnut Choc Swirl as the staffer said it’s their most popular. Also want to try their Baklava which looks wonderful.

The outside seating area is pretty dirty so we tried inside. Getting them to clear tables is a chore (after we left on busy Sunday - 25 mins later we walked past again and our cups were still there). Tried the coffee, a couple of flavours of Turkish delight and some ice cream. The Turkish Delight was nice and coffee not bad. Personally, I wouldn’t do it again.
