I must admit I am a regular here. The service is friendly and the food is above standard. There are good pub classics but there are other dishes that are more adventurous without being pretentious or overly expensive. I recommend this hotel!More

Thanks for the review! We love hearing from our customers, particularly our regular patrons. You have pretty much summed up what we try to achieve here at the Cooper's; everyone's delicious pub favourites, as well as serving up something a bit different and special that...More

It doesn't look much from the outside but upstairs is amazing. I went with my daughter on a recent trip and the food was sensational. I had fish (real fish, not some wet watery frozen stuff) and my daughter had the steak - in hindsight,...More

You're spot on, our venue is a little deceiving from the outside, but I'm glad you found our Rooftop Garden - it's a great little spot. Thank you for your kind words about the quality of our food. We really do pride ourselves on producing...More

I had lunch here last week with my husband and the food was delicious. I had the linguine with prawns & rocket and my husband had the risotto with scallops. We normally share our meals but I just couldn't this time as the linguine was...More

Thank you for your lovely review! Our Prawn Linguini has been a staple on our menu for years now. We do change our menus seasonally, but due to the popularity of this dish this has made the cut time and time again! Hopefully you've been...More

Upstairs at Coopers Hotel is very different from when you enter via King Street. The food upstairs is really good and the atmosphere trendy (unlike the dingy room downstairs with strange people). We attempt to eat here once every couple of weeks. The steaks are...More

Our absolute favourite pub in Newtown, frequenting at least once a fortnight. Food is always delicious- 'herb and pinenut crusted blue eye cod'- so so good. Atmosphere is always lively, even when it raining with thanks to the weatherproof canopy. Would highly recommend to everyone,...More

The Coopers is a strange place, entering the downstairs bar you're met with a group of sorry looking older singles scattered around the place seemingly drowning their sorrows in a schooner of Tooheys. The place looks ordinary and boring. Venture upstairs and its a whole...More
