Wonderful food, great service!

We all shared the skewered chicken, lamb and beef, each beautifully presented with tasty but delicate sources. The Salads were also very tasty, but not overpowered by dressing/sauces. My personal favourite were the prawns, served in a light batter that was slightly crispy….delicious! Tiramisu for dessert served in a little flower pot, was a (surprisingly) lite and delicate finale to a lovely meal…..….topped off with cinnamon tea. Thoroughly enjoyable food with very pleasant service. Highly recommended.

Great hospitality, service and food

We had a late supper at Missony last night after going to the Seymour Centre. We chose Missony because the food looked interesting, it had good reviews and was open until 11. We were so impressed by the service and the quality of the food that we will definately be making a trip to Newtown just to have dinner there. Great middle Eastern hospitality

First rate service and delicious lamb kofta mains!

We had a great time 'en famille' here last night. It was a special family occasion and the lamb kofta mains were great for my wife and I. My son and his partner also enjoyed their special. The staff were very kind and attentive; for example, when my wife burned here finger on a metal skewer for the kofta, the waitress brought over a glass full of ice.

Tasty food but everything else awful

We were asked would you like your meals to come at the same time (which we thought odd) and said yes. Turned out some of the mains we ordered weren’t mains (2 of us orders moussaka assuming it was a main meal as not listed under starters but under vegetarian) but when they came they were like small sides and weren’t traditional moussaka but just the veg. Tasty but totally not what we expected. Waiting staff didn’t advise us at all. And all meals came at different times so some people had long finished before others meals arrived. It wasn’t busy there were 4 other tables with diners. When a family with a baby and two toddlers arrived they were seated directly behind us (we were 6 adults) even though there was lots of space available. So we had to sit with loud wailing from the baby and crying toddlers for much of our meal. The food was nice but not nice enough to make up for the general debacle. Oh and to top it off, the BYO wine? We were charged $4 corkage per person! No, we won’t be back. In hindsight, 2 is a generous rating…

Run don't walk 🏃‍♀️💨

The food was absolutely out of this world! I highly recommend trying the Zaatar Dynamite Prawns and the Lamb Shank - they were both outstanding. The flavors were exquisite, and the presentation was top-notch. The chef truly knows how to create a culinary masterpiece. The staff was also incredibly attentive. They were friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. Whether you're looking for a special dining experience or just a delicious meal, this place is a must-visit. I'll definitely be returning soon.

Outstanding food and service!

Four adults and a toddler enjoyed an absolute feast on Australia Day 2023. Incredible mains , entrees and ......wine. Outstanding chocolate fondue dessert with complimentary Turkish tea. The slow roast lamb shoulder was amazing. Fresh falafel with garlic sauce and hummus , wow! Fantastic, attentive service. We'll be back soon!

A great night at Missony

We had a business function for 75 guests at Missony. The owner Wael could not do enough for us to ensure the night would be a great success. The food was delicious and plentiful and we received numerous comments from our guests regarding the quality and superb flavours. A great night was had by all. We will certainly be returning. Incredible and delicious

Absolutely love it here! Came two days in a row because the food was incredible. The service was outstanding 10/10 experience. We ordered different dishes both days and where overwhelmed with the flavour and quality of the meals. Highly recommend! Will be back everytime I’m in Newtown

Delicious Lebanese cuisine- fresh and full of flavour

Meat was juicy and full of flavour. Perfectly cooked. Had the mixed plate and the meat was not dry at all. Dessert so good. Loved the lebanese-style Panna Cotta with orange blossom water.

Tasty Lebanese food in the heart of Newtown

I enjoyed a delicious vegetarian lunch right in the heart of Newtown - the falafels and roasted cauliflower were standouts. I noticed my companions scraped their lamb dishes clean. Quick friendly service and reasonably good coffee. We were seated inside next to an open window, which was ideal for covid cautious me.

Can’t wait to go back next I am in Sydney/Newtown

Went in not quite knowing what to expect, but I was definitely not disappointed! I had the Real Falafel and a chicken kofta wrap, which was a lunch special (yes, I was very hungry). It was all amazing: the falafel was just right and the kofta was perfectly spiced. It was served with bread/pita… a lot of it…which was yummy! Lunch was topped off with a nice and hot tea. Anastasia, the lovely French waitress, was kind, attentive, and on the ball. I couldn’t have asked for more on my last day in Sydney.

Middle Eastern Flair

Wandering up king st for some last minute dinner and this place could fit us in. We had the classics of hummus, kibbeh, lemon and garlic chicken which were all on point and lovely. The only thing dragging this place down for the area is the decor which won’t attract the usual Newtonian but ignore that and be surprised

Disappointing Service and Poor Quality Food

The service was exceptionally slow, and the food quality did not meet our expectations. Additionally, the staff's attitude towards addressing our concerns was dismissive and unprofessional. Overall, a regrettable dining experience that we won't be repeating.

What a wonderful place! We came to celebrate a friend's birthday. She has been in the hospital and had a minor emergency. The staff couldn't have been more helpful! They packed up all of the beautiful food and took it up to the hospital and had a lovely party, thanks to the kindness and understanding of the staff at Missony!!! Thanks guys, we will be back as soon as possible!!

High prices, average quality

They do grill well, especially the lamb. They might have ripped me off with no felafel but that's the cheapest element. It's a premium Turkish restaurant but there are much better around Newtown like Turkuaz and Konak.
