Had a great evening with friends. Food and service was excellent, and reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere, casual, but not cafe style. Great variety on the menu. Well worth a visit

Very close to the Enmore Theatre, I managed to snag a table before the show as someone was leaving, even though the place was packed. I had the kofte- the best I've ever eaten, with a very tasty bean salad as a side. Service was...good, and I was made to feel welcome even though I was alone.More
Booked a table as previous visit we walked in & had to wait for an available table. Ordered selection of dips & entrees followed by pides & main meals. We shared all the dishes, all were tasty & delicious. Service each time has been friendly...& polite. Highly recommendMore
We arrived without a booking hoping to grab some food before a show, they made a table for 3 and our order of food was served within 10mins of ordering. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu (with a booking...this time!)More
Friendly staff who were very helpful, the sides were delicious. Absolutelyimpressed, will definitely be back.
The food was absolutely delicious and at great value. My wife and I had a mixed entree and a main meal. The staff were great and inviting.
Why did I give only 1 star? Food was OK however only one staff member wore the required mask and he wore that under his nose. No one doing food prep was masked and food was handled with bare hands. They also weren't fussed with...people checking in. I'll let you know how I go .....More
We have ordered from this restaurant - pick up many times and always been happy, but this week, not sure if you have a new chef but the taste of the food was very underwhelming, not the usual tasty meal. I order a Lahmacun, took...one bite and threw it away. My husband was not happy with his meal also, shame as we will not be back will stick to Saray's who have consistently good food.More
Lunch with my wife first time to this restaurant so we weren’t quite sure what to expect. First off it’s located on the Enmore side of Newtown so that was great, easier for parking and less ‘busy’. Secondly we were quickly and warmly greeted and...after being seated and looking at the men had no idea on what to order as we’re not familiar with Turkish cuisine. We asked our assigned waitress to assist and suggest, or to select what she would order if she was sitting. Her choices were unbelievable and I’m embarrassed but unapologetic to say we scoffed the lot! The flavours of each dip, dish and combinations were unreal. The trio dip meze, the accompanying Turkish bread lightly oiled and grilled were a great start. The pide! Wow, thin crust, chopped lamb and tomato, capsicum and peppers. The beyti kebab equally tasty and amazing flavoursome. All up a wonderful experience and we’ll definitely be visiting again. Great staff, speedy and helpful service.More
It's not a huge place but it does fill up at different times, even on weekdays. I was able to book ahead for our group of 6 & the cutlery & water glasses were all set beforehand. I ordered a mixed shish plate, and we...ordered a few pides which we shared around. I haven't had many pides in my time but that the chicken & cheese one was the best pide I've ever tasted. Even the vegetarian one that I tried was pretty tasty. BYO charge is $2.50 per person if you're mindful of those things, as my group shared 2 bottles of wine, so it was a reasonable charge. We shared a dessert which was a sponge cake with some sort of raspberry topping, that was soft and sweet and decadent. Service was a little slow but we weren't in any real hurry. Overall it was a pretty decent experience.More
It was our first time going there as a family of 9 we booked it for Ramadan iftar. Service was so slow, no cups no water on the table, dips came we asked for bread but waited half hour just for a basket of bread...which wasnt even fresh! The main dishes came in parts 2 mains(plates) came and again we waited for other mains for at least 20 mins. So disappointed! It was our fisrt and last. Waste of money!More
Very disappointing. The waitress lied about what we were served/ordered from the menu, which was only rectified after raising it with the manager. The level of eye rolls and huffing was deserving of an academy award.
Went and asked how long it’d take as I’m on a work break, they said 10 minutes, that seems ok; 30 minutes later I get my food while waiting in store, I politely ask them about the wait thinking I’d get a generic apology saying...they were busy ( they were basically empty this day ) but the worker says there was no wait, that it took exactly 10 minutes like he said, maybe an extra minute or two. I point out the fact that I was aware of the exact time I entered and he then starts arguing with me and trying to tell me I’m wrong and that he can go grab the docket to prove me wrong if I like; I tell him to go grab the docket as I was watching my watch the whole time; he proceeds to go over to the dockets, has a look and tells me he lost the docket ( ofcourse he did... ); reminder that it’s empty today so there wasn’t much to look through... after this he says maybe it was absolute max 15 minutes but no more then that and I tell him one last time that it was clearly over 30 and ask why he won’t acknowledge that, he then proceeds to glare at me and says “What are you gonna do about it!!” This was just ridiculous, I would have been happy with an apology, even if it was some fake excuse, just an apology would have sufficed. The business needs to review its employees!!! Worst service ever! Avoid like the plague unless you’re looking for a fight.More
Restaurant was quiet on the day we visited. There was no request for Covid sign in. Ordered our meal, waited for over 30 minutes and the waitress returned to inform us the order was missing! Lost us as a customer!
Great for a group of friends (we were a group of 8). Ordered a mix of entree dishes, shish (can add extra kebabs to each serving, which makes it more economical) and some other dishes. All full of flavour, meat lean (good). I’ve had better...falafels but each middle eastern cuisine do them slightly differently (so I might just prefer the Lebanese style, versus the Turkish). Service was good and we were not rushed. Recommended for middle eastern/Turkish in Newtown areaMore
