The friendliness of the staff here was not to fault neither was their service. However the food for us was a real disappointment. Albeit the portion sizes were large the food itself was very bland. The food also seemed as though it was being cooked in the same pan. For my mum this was an issue as she doesn't eat... More

Having visited other tavernas many times inn Kouklia sitting outside in the square, liked the idea of sitting in the lovely courtyard this taverna has .The lovely salad starter disappointingly sevrved with terrible thick stale bread .Main course of Calamari looked like it had been recooked or overcooked? Moussaka cold and watery ,uneatable! Service slow was more interested in laying out... More

We came here based on a good rating - and left shocked. We ordered fish meze (combination of many seafood/fish dishes). All the food that came was very overcooked. Half of what arrived was straight from supermarket frozen section. They even dared to present crab sticks as a separate dish! Cuttlefish was not completely cleaned, came with parts of cuttlebone... If you have never been to Kouklia then I implore you to stop of sometime soon and enjoy the family hospitality at Diarizos Tavern. Alexia and her parents work hard at producing traditional Cypriot food and hospitality every evening. The food is fresh, flavoursome and served as if you are having dinner in their home. My family and I had... More

I have been there allready 5 times for lunch with friends. This traditional tavern offers local and Mediterranean food. Some of the dishes are amazing and some are good. But whatever you eat is desent, tasty and very clean. Since i tried a lot of their dishes, I recoment lamb leaver, moussaka and kalamari. Everything is cooked when you order,... More

Awesome village just off the B6. Has a lovely feel about the place. Stopped for such and although we we the only ones there, we were made to feel very welcome. Food was great and cooked with care. Even given complimentary dessert! We will be back, but in the evening when the roads are closed and the tables are dragged... More

A quite taverna that loses out to those actually in the square but the food here is really nice and very tasty. The fish is highly recommended

When in Kouklia for the Chamber Music Festival we usually eat at Efraim or Thanasis, but they were full so we tried Diarizos, which was empty. Its a typical, family-run village taverna with most of the family watching TV, while one member does all the work. The decor and furniture are lovely but the menu limited to the usual Cyprus...
