We were taken to Paulett Wines & Bush DeVine Restaurant by some friends (Adelaide locals) who were showing us around the area while on a recent trip. They had made a booking for the 5 of us for 2.30pm (a late lunch by our standards). When we arrived the restaurant & foyer was very busy. The staff were very helpful advising of the best options & wines. We ended up ordering 2 entrees & 3 mains + a coslaw & chips. The food was fantastic (the view was also stunning, with the restaurant looking over a gully), but there was soo much we had to ask for several takeaway containers. The wine was also amazing (so good that I purchased a bottle for myself & a red wine for a family member, with some guidance from a helpful staff member). We would definately recommend Paulett's to friends & family who are thinking of visiting Adelaide & we will definately be back the next time we visit Adelaide.

Went for the canapés with wine pairings. Choosing 5 wines with matching canapés was a difficult decision as they all read so well. A glass of sparkling while we gnashed our teeth over the choices was a great choice. The wines canapés were attractively presented on a special board. The chef had done an excellent job in selecting food that complemented the wines. For me the standout was the grilled fig with goat curd and pepperleaf dukkah matched with a semillion. Waitstaff were friendly, efficient and very knowledgable. As the crowd on the deck had thinned the waitress kindly let us sit out there to Amore the view, finish our wine and enjoy a very good coffee. Bought some of the products we’d enjoyed on the way out as I am keen to recreate the grilled fig canapé.

Most memorable dining establishment in Australia . This is the second time we've dined at Pauletts, and we enjoyed our lunch as much as we did the first time, a few years ago. When we were in the area last time, we tried a number of well known and highly rated restaurants, but Pauletts was imprinted in our minds as the absolute standout, and we have a couple of chefs in our group. This restaurant was a must for us to return to, and it didn't disappoint. All the staff are lovely and welcoming, the position is gorgeous, the pirice for the quality is sooooo reasonable, and the style, presentation, and taste of all the dishes served was once again exceptional. We did the $44.00 3 course feed us option, and was served the peaches (delectable), the gnocchi (a real taste of Italy), followed by the beef (cooked perfectly, with flavours to savour), and a complimentary tomato salad (absolutely awesome). The wine is so well priced at under $10 a glass, and the homemade sour dough bread was so good, that my husband asked if the chef wouldn't mind giving him a couple of spoons of his sourdough starter (as my husband forgot his starter, and we've just begun a 5 month trip around Australia), which the chef kindly did. Just another reason to put Pauletts at the top of our "must experience" dining list. Pauletts bush divine winery restaurant in Polish Hill (part of the Clare Valley) is 5 star all the way. Experience food the way it should be served, with fresh crisp flavours, quality produce, and edible natives you've never seen before ... what's not to love about this place!

We managed to score a late booking at the restaurant for a tasting flight with matching canapes ($35 pp) The wait staff provided us with the list of wines, we could each select 5 (and we picked differently!) and these were bought to the table on a cool wooden board with the matching canapes lined up. Each matching canape was delicious, and the tasting of wine provided were generous. We also ordered a side of the grilled broccolini.... it was mouth wateringly good. The view across the valley is also excellent! We'll be recommending this experience to everyone!

This was the standout meal of our 5 day visit to the Clare Valley. My wife and I had a great lunch preceded by a wine tasting at our table which was very well done. We both ordered the large plate roasted barramundi with a side of triple cooked chips, all was delicious and washed down with a bottle of Polish Hill Riesling. Friendly efficient service and a great experience, highly recommended.

This was a highlight of our visit to Clare. The setting is superb, on the covered deck overlooking the rolling green landscape beyond. We were welcomed with warmth and attentiveness. Our baby was catered for and fussed over and never made to feel an inconvenience. The staff were so cheerful and friendly that it helped set us up for an enjoyable experience. We had the three shared plates and the non-driver had the paired wines. The glasses or wine were generous, as were to food servings. We enjoyed the beetroot and haloumi to start and then the delicious lamb dumplings and finally the barramundi. Each dish had such deliciously complementary flavours and each were mouth watering. It was a bleak rainy day but inside was all cheer and good food. A wonderful choice!

Had the most amazing wine tasting and lunch at Paulette’s today. We chose 3 plates to share- sashimi, lamb and beef served with fresh, home baked bread. The service was superb- friendly and professional. The food was unbelievable- deliciously cooked and served using interesting Australian bush flavours. And of course washed down with a glass of Paulette’s own red wine. Lovely views overlooking the valley. Congratulations to all at Paulette’s. It was a beautiful afternoon on the deck.

Superb. Views, service, food, of course wines. Tom the chef, Chrissy front of house, Jade and the team clearly live what they do and are proud of their experience. They went extra miles to make everyone comfortable and happy. Having rated a nearby similar winery 2/5 it is evident which I would recommend. Weve been here twice for birthdays and rate it as exceptional. I wont detail the amazing flavours of the excellent menu and it may well change anyway, but itll be wonderful im sure. Thank you Chrissy and team.

We came here for lunch (10 of us) and sampled the 5x canapés and paired wine. You select white and/or red wine and canapés made from local ingredients. It was bliss. Beautifully presented on a wooden flight with the dishes and wine glasses together. The food was delicious. I can’t recall another experience like it. So highly recommended.

Thoroughly agree with all the other positive reviews ... from the minute we walked in, all the staff were warm, friendly and couldn't have done more to make it a fabulous experience. What we had thought would be a quick stop turned into a three hour, thoroughly enjoyable lunch topped with stunning views. The wine flights matched with canapes are highly recommended, made all the more enjoyable by the knowledgable team who took the time to answer all our questions without ever making us feel rushed. A big thanks to all from the front of house ladies to the chefs, and everyone else who helped make this such a lovely afternoon - we'll be back!

The trip to the Clare Valley is worth the trip just to eat at Bush DeVine Café. We stopped in Clare for a night with passing through two Sunday’s ago and had booked for four of us. The food was so good, we returned with our family last Sunday and it didn’t disappoint second time around. Bush DeVine Café has so much in its corner, it isn’t just the delicious food, it is also about the wonderful wait staff, with a nod especially to Grace who was brilliant, then there is the location, the view is beautiful across the valley. With each visit we opted for the 3 plates and matched wines which was more than sufficient. On seeing the dessert menu, we all forced ourselves both times to share a dessert, one each would have been pushing it. The food leans toward Australian flavours, which I personally love. Try the cured salmon, burnt leek oil, baby beets, horseradish & pickled quandong and the rose myrtle panna cotta which is ever so light, served with native hibiscus, winter fruits and candied pepitas. Will have to go back again for another round.

Dropped in for lunch, very glad we did. We opted for individual plates rather than shared and were initially disappointed that the lamb was unavailable so we went for the roasted barramundi. It was probably the freshest and moistest we have tasted down south. It came with sliced spuds and chorizo and some chutney like stuff - it blended well. Of course a couple of glasses of the Polish Hill River Riesling matched to perfection. Home made sour dough bread and flavoursome butter were a bonus. Finished off with home made vanilla ice cream, small cinnamon doughnuts with a short black made for a wonderful lunch on the terrace overlooking the valley. Had to grab a slab of the rizza to take home with us. Highly recommended

I am sorry that I will buck the system in writing a negative review of Bush Devine. I firstly want to say that the location, staff and even the food quality is excellent... So what was the problem? Unfortunately, it is the value for money equation. We have been there several times and always enjoyed the food, the service and the views - although we often commented on the small serving sizes. Our last visit, however was the tipping point. We chose a sample platter to start, which had small but delicious samples, as expected of such a dish. For the main dish, I had the pork belly, which had a grand total of three small cubes of meat in a very small dish containing carrots and paw paw salad (as the main ingredients, it seemed). I don't understand how this can be considered as a "main" meal at (from memory) $32.00. Similarly, my partner ordered barramundi (approx. $35.00) which was also tiny (smaller than entree size in any other quality establishment, I believe). We regularly visit the Clare Valley as our destination of choice, for a day drive; and usually buy wines from Paulettes (and nearby Pykes). Sadly, we cannot justify any further meals at a place which has clearly lost sight of value for money, despite ticking all the other boxes.

I am so sorry you felt you did not receive value for money. We have not had that pork on the menu since before Covid 4 months ago before we sadly had to close for 2 and a half months. And three pieces was actually the entree size. Sincere apologies if we have made a mistake with your order. Thankfully we have reopened and with a new menu and format, with generous serving sizes. We do encourage any one that feels they are not receiving value to let us now on the day we are always happy to accommodate to ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience. We do hope Wilgena that you do reconsider and visit again at some stage. Cheer Ali Paulett

This is one of the best places I’ve eaten in my life. Waitstaff squeezed us in for a late lunch, despite being booked out. Service was informative and friendly, and the menu was comprehensive, catering to my food intolerances. Native ingredients were used in every dish. The view from our table was amazing. We were initially served fresh bread with olive oil. Even that was phenomenal. We took the $40 pp option, which included a glass of wine. I ate an amazing Japanese inspired mushroom dish, which melted in my mouth. My partner had the beef dish, which he complimented highly. Thank you to everyone at Paulett for our amazing experience.
