We celebrated a 70th birthday family lunch at Pigalle and it was great. We were given a private room and so were able to have speeches and tell family jokes in complete privacy. The food was out of this world and the waiters didn't hover (my pet hate) although they were there when needed.

Business dinner with wives- 6 people. Certainly a very upmarket cosy restaurant. Excellent service and 5 star selection of food. This must be our 15th visit to Pigalle and believe me you will never be disappointed.
Really a restaurant to visit. Naturally quite pricey

Great spot where you can have a good time with friends. Friendly service with a menu that caters to variety - including vegan options. Wonderful ambience and in a niche spot in town.

Our food from the chicken livers to the seafood platter had too much lemon juice. Somebody must have made a slip with the lemons. Food was cold and I know they were busy but keep the food warm. Waiters try to help but not enough waiters. Will I go again for that price no it is not value for money

Very good ambience at the Restaurant.
Very Good food as well as service . Prices are slightly on the higher side but should be OK for such a restaurant. Good selection of Wines

Went for Lunch but unfortunately they had a massive function and everyone attended today them,food very very average,service very ordinary.
In this industry not sure if this will assist the business.

We Visited Pigalle on my Birthday Eve...The setting is stunning and the ambience Beautiful...We enjoyed the food however the Sevice was terrible...
I'm not sure if they were understaffed but our waitress barely saw to us and we had to keep trying to get her attention to get our orders in.
The Tables around us also complained about service...We had to go to reception to get the bill...It was a real damper to my first experience here as well as it being a special Birthday Dinner.

Quality of food poor
Plateing poor and utensils were just not up to scratch, i was given a table spoon that looked like it came out of a fight.
Watiters need more training
its not worth the money
the fries were like they purchased it from a McDonalds
I think they need to up their game if they want to retain their customers
i dont think i will go there esp for a special occasion maybe for a quick BURGER!!! LOL with Mc D fries!!

What a disappointment!We have never been bowled over by Pigalle but as it has been done over decided to try again.We booked 2 days before and on arrival on a Friday evening were shown to our table along the wall? We requested a table with chairs in the middle of the restaurant but were told they were reserved! Our table had no table cloth paper serviettes whilst the others were laid for “fine dining “ We were told that it is a seafood restaurant and everything was special! No sole on the menu the Kingklip on the bone was good service okay our food was cold in 5 minutes being placed on a cold black granite table! Meanwhile a table had become available and a walk in was quickly seated!, No wi fi although we were told there was but no help was offered! We certainly did not have a pleasant birthday dinner.

Very poor level of food at very high cost Didnt get different butters like ive had before Very long wait for meal. Plate came with very poor salad chips and dry pieces of chicken all crowded on plate never got sauce on side which was promised to me Didnt get mousse like other tables got Obviously they dont think 2 ladies eating out deserve the same treatment as bigger tables with men Wont be back as much better food options on offer in Johannesburg
