We went for dinner at the Black Robin and had a great evening. The food was very good and at a reasonable price. A very pleasant atmosphere and very friendly professional staff.

We have enjoyed the Black Robin a few times over the past year or so, but the meal last night surpassed even those visits. Good service, interesting ales and excellent food in a very relaxing atmosphere.

An absolute delight and served with fab chips on the side. Simply Devine! The fish finger sandwich will be my next lunch choice!

Ate here at the recommendation of a couple of rather bolshie friends and was a little nervous as there have been a couple of negative reviews. Oh boy! No need to worry as the food was absolutely outstanding I am led to believe that the menu is not static as the chef likes to experiment but I can honestly say... More

Was looking at the beautiful Kent countryside and found this lovely eatery. Greeted with a lovely smile, very busy but friendly. Ordered our drinks, had a trio of handmade sausage, also day special risotto, very enjoyable, great find. Would recommend

Lovely setting, friendly and welcoming. The meal was excellent, I had the roast beef, which was tender, succulent and beautifully cooked. I followed this with rhubarb crumble and custard, unfortunately there was only A thimble full of custard, when asked the waitress bought a refreshed jug, unfortunately this seemed no more full. The overall ambience is friendly and fun, and... More

I really do hate giving negative reviews and it was a couple of months since we ate here so it might have improved. However, the food we were served will last in my memory for all the wrong reasons. It was a Sunday so roasts were on the menu. Both my son and I had the chicken. There was plenty... More

After all the hype, we were rather looking forward to our visit here but, in the end, were rather disappointed. We found the choice of beer very limited; just two were offered and one of those was the ubiquitous Doombar. Why, in the middle of Kent, are 50% of theirs beers from Cornwall? It was quiet but we were still... More

Beautiful pub, friendly and good selections of wine and real ales. I had herb crusted loin of cod with mint and pea purée it was delicious. The boys had teriyaki duck breast with noodles and tempura veg looked amazing and clean plates all round. Definitely worth a visit.

There is a lot that is. The space, the staff, the ambience, the service, the beers are all spot on. It has a light and spacious interior with comfortable seating and tables inter-spaced so you are not right on top of fellow customers. Although a very popular spot for locals, you do not feel an outsider - in fact you... More
