We throughly enjoyed a walk through local woods and once worked up an appetite went for lunch here. Thank goodness we had worked up that appetite as the lunch was great! There were 8 of us , including 4 troublesome children, the place was really busy but the level of service and the quality didn't suffer - would totally recommend... More

This gastro-pub, built in 1740, is in the Elham valley, about a 15 mile drive from Canterbury. Very welcoming, good food. Very enjoyable, will go again.

We went to the Black Robin on a Monday lunchtime, it is a lovely country pub in the middle of the Kent countryside. There were seven of us and we arrived just after 12 and were the only customers at the time. We asked if we could have a table for 7 and the chap kindly put a couple of... More

A wonderful country pub situated in the beautiful valley between Bridge and Barham, the food here never disappoints - my numerous visits have all been in the selfless interests of research! Reservation recommended as it tends to get busy at weekends.

Pretty country pub in the middle of nowhere. Recommended as a good place to eat by a local. The evening wasn't overly busy, approximately half full, but the wait was extremely long; 45 minutes for each course. When the food came it was over cooked & very firm. My friend had the pigeon to start, which was apparently without flavour... More

Been here a numerous times and always superb. Beer is well kept - particularly good is the Gadds brewery beers. Last time I stayed for some food and had delicious Fish and Chips and shared some Onion Rings which were amazing. Highly recommended if you are ever in the area.

Lovely little place in the middle of what seemed like nowhere, nicest chips I have ever had, food was a little on the pricey side but was reasonable, staff were pleasant and nice quiet atmosphere, only problem was the flies, came under attack multiple times

Second visit to the black robin as it didn't disappoint. I had the fish pie which was delicious and my friend had the 28 day ages steak which was absolutely fantastic. Locally grown rhubarb for pudding and Kentish beer on draught. Can't ask for more.

We ordered a rib eye steak which was so thin and tough and the chips tasted as they had been reheated. No taste with rump... More
