Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Spent the afternoon in the Adelaide Hills visiting a couple of wineries and call into the pub for a late lunch as they have all day dining till 8pm. The food was outstanding! We both had meals from the specials board and could not stop...saying how delicious they were while we were devouring them! We will be back and will recommend the hotel to everyone. Great spaces to gather both inside and out and very friendly staff. Well done team 🙌🏼More

Immaculate vibes, the food was very tasty and staff was nice. It was hard to not give Uraidla 5 stars because the venue is so beautiful, plenty of seating with lots of different options (a couple of booths, small and large tables, indoor and outdoor)....BUT they use a QR scan order system (you can order at the bar, but depending where you sit it's a bit of a walk) the order system didn't have all the food or beverage options on it either, which is a shame because they stock a generous selection of local spirits and brews from the hills area. I also found that the pricing for the food was quite high (chicken schnitzel was roughly $30 and it looked average sized) Over all though if you are exploring the Adelaide Hills it's an excellent stop to get a local drink or two with cosy vibes, with the option to order food as well.More

This is a classic pub with various rooms you can relax in, including a cosy open fire. You can choose to sit in the restaurant area for full table service or in the other rooms with booth seating for bar service - the menu is...the same. We had the seafood tasting plate, which was enormous and will comfortably feed 3 for lunch. The potato scallops and grilled sardines were standouts. In fact, so good we had lunch there again! The steaks were also brilliant. There are extensive specials of the day as well as the online menu, so you will easily find something you like ... although you might not make it to dessert as these are generous serves! Their beers are excellent and the wine list reasonably priced with lots of great local drops. We'll be back every time we're in Uraidla.More

The warm hospitality and charming ambiance make it a must-visit. Their locally brewed beers are fantastic, and the food is exceptional. Attentive staff and a lovely beer garden complete the perfect experience. Can't wait to come back!

Lovely old Australiana Hotel well decorated. Cosy bar area. Lovely new glass dining room. Staff were, friendly, welcoming and attentive. I had the Korma Curry. It was a large serve with delicious naan bread, pickled cumquats and rice. Totally delicious. Partner had Mojo smoked chicken...with charred corn cob. He thought it was quite good. We shared a blueberry baked cheescake. Really moist and delicious. One of best I have had. Very impressed with service, quality of food and reasonable prices. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend.More

We had lunch with another couple on a warm sunny Saturday afternoon. The dining room was busy without being frantic. There are multiple areas for eating both inside and outside and all were busy. It’s a great pub with a modern vibe that still maintains...an historic vibe. Service was friendly and attentive. The wine list is huge with wines of all varieties and prices. If you get a chance ask to visit the wine tank - it’s stunning. We had a tasting board to start, followed by the smoked pork and chicken with accompanying sides. Mine was the chicken it was delicious, so tender and moist. The sides particularly the slaw and green beans were excellent. As well as the smoked options there is a wide range of dishes on the menu from the traditional pub fare to the more elaborate. The serves were on the generous side. It’s a great spot for lunch and we look forward to visiting again.More

The service is beyond terrible. We’ve had horrible service in the past and our food has arrived cold but we decided to give them another try. In short don’t give them a second chance! We placed our order and after eating an hour I checked...on where our food was only to be told ‘they don’t know’, our order had gone missing and didn’t match the docket so no food. Asked for a refund and was still charged for our water and soda! Asked to speak to the manager and was told ‘this never happens’ well it has happened twice to us so we will never eat there again. No offer of a free heal next time, nothing. TerribleMore

My partner and I from Sydney together with my sister and her husband had lunch at your hotel on Sunday. In short the service was appalling. Having been told brusquely when we sat down that we had a limited time (2.5 ours) and that we...had to order in the next 10 minutes, we did so. We then waited an hour for food. Having asked for wine, we waited 30 minutes to then be presented with a different bottle and to be told the order we had made 30 minutes ago was no longer available. Not enough staff, too many customers - basically greed overcame service. We spoke about this to another venue later that afternoon and were told we were not the first to make that comment. Absolutely appalling. We have relayed our thoughts to a number of Sydney friends who visit Adelaide.More

When you are in the Adelaide hills make sure you visit the Uraidla hotel, you won’t regret it. This time we stopped for lunch on a weekday. A lot quieter but just as good. Staff are friendly and the meals are great. Try the rabbit...and mushrooms pie. Price is on the high side for a pub, however the interior and exterior design give you a sense of quiet luxury.More

Sure, it’s called the Uraidla pub, but is soooo much more than a pub. A wine list to die for, great food and waitstaff. Alice made our anniversary afternoon perfect, with attentive but not intrusive help at just the right times. A great anniversary memory...for us, thank you Uraidla Hotel!!More

We dropped in here after lunch in Stirling to try the beers. Fantastic old pub which has a great range of Urailda Brewery beers , great service and chats with the barman. Would have been nice to also eat here in the glorious old building.

Driving back from our visit to the Adelaide Hills on a wet and cold evening spotted the hotel as we came around the corner. Had to stop to check it out as it looked so inviting with the wood fires burning outside and lots of...people sitting around the fires. The atmosphere looked great so had to stop. Wood fires were burning inside and it was very busy. We were lucky to get a table without a booking. Even though it was very busy we got our meals in good time. Thoroughly enjoyed the beers and our meals especially the Uraidla burger. Highly recommend visiting this character filled hills pub in Uraidla.More
