Disappointed Sunday lunch, pub less than half full, staff inattentive, very lumpy mash potato, very flat Yorkshire puddings. Owner was having an argument with staff over our order as if he couldn't take anymore food orders ! Wasn't even asked if our meal was ok ? This place could be a little gold mine, but alas it isn't. Will not... More

My family and I visited here recently and had the Sunday lunch option with starters and mains. Pate was delicious cannot fault that at all. Sunday lunch had a lot to be desired due to the small amount of veg given between 6 of us with the broccoli overcooked. Meat was ok, but the menu states creamy mash and that... More

We have recently moved into the area and heard lots of good things about this pub but then people also said "ohhhh its be taken over by new people".....Im unsure why people are worried that this pub has been taken over by new people, like they are aliens from another planet. The pub wasn't as busy as we expected so... More

Three adults and one child visited the Three Horse Shoes on Friday 10th March 2017 and we ate from the two course menu. £10.95 available until 7pm. Then we also paid extra for a dessert. My daughter ate the braised steak and it was absolutely gorgeous, the three of us adults had scampi which was delicious. I must say that... More

Stepping in this pub is like walking back in time, and not in a good way. The decor is sad and dated. The piped music is appalling. The food was less than average. It was busy with a certain sort of clientele, but it certainly wasn't for us.

I was leading a walking group and chose the Three Horse Shoes for our lunch venue. As ever with a group of 26 people there were numerous 'one off requests' and late changes due to illness, accident etc. On every occasion the response from Sam and Joanne was "no problem" and believe me that as an organiser that is what... Visited for lunch- The gammon was slightly under cooked but quite edible, the BTL sandwich was in a small toasted baguette, which was rather hard, the bacon as with the gammon was slightly under cooked

Been before when it used to be packed out. Maybe been a change of owner but it was not as good as other times. Meal was ok but when you specifically go for Sunday roast dinner then I think you expect meat off a joint. Whilst it was ok it certainly wasn't off a roast joint. Very obliging with different...
