Sometimes in your life you are lucky enough to experience a moment of joy that exceeds your expectations beyond anything you expected on a pleasant Sunday morning. We had headed to west Gippsland for a day of drinking and dining and stumbled across the Cannibal Creek Bakehouse & Cafe. It was early so I restricted myself to a blueberry muffin and latte, but wasn’t ready for the quality of muffin that was to come. It was perfect. Just the right amount of fruit with a light dusting of crumble to add texture. Not too dry, not too moist, but just right. Thank you Cannibal Creek Bakehouse & Cafe.

The Bakehouse is very popular and I can see why. My coffee was well worth the visit and my Mediterranean Focaccia was tasty and full of interesting agreements, but a bit small for the money. The service was very good and i was brought water as soon as I sat down.

This is only a small, but original, bakehouse to which they've opened up a room for light lunches/breakfast etc.
The meals are different and there is a fair choice-completely different to a normal cafe.
Service is good and one is always greeted well.
Great salads-VERY different.

I love this cafe and the staff. It never disappoints. Always great coffee, customer service and food. Lovely atmosphere either inside or outside. It’s also dog friendly (outside) which I think is important. Either as a couple by yourself or with the family. A+ It’s also now open 7 days a week 💃🏻 Hope you enjoy this gem as much as we do.

Great place to stop for a coffee and sit in the sun in the garden. Staff are very friendly and the Brest is out of this work. Try the olive and hen and also the jalipino and cheese bread - yum yum

We stopped here on our road trip, and boy, we so glad we did!!
The coffee was spot on, along with the “EBC” toasty which was full of flavours.
We also grabbed a loaf of the popular Jalapeño & Cheddar…..wow.
Do yourself a favour….go there! Now!

It's easy to miss this place along the main road in Garfield because the building is set back off the road. Look out for the sign by the footpath.

We had such a nice breakfast in a cosy cafe! The Eggs Benedict were amazing and sourdough toast yummy. There are cakes and muffins also. Coffee fantastic.

We started coming to this cute little bakehouse cafe early in 2019 and we visit regularly. Sometimes weekly!
I have never had a bad meal and the Avo Smash is quite possibly the best I've had! Add a side of mushrooms and you're all set for a delicious feast.
Generous meal sizes, great prices and always a friendly welcome.
They're not open every day so make sure you check and id recommend booking ahead to avoid disappointment.

Just on the outside of the main shopping strip in Garfield is this out of the way bakehouse. Blink and you might miss it but that would be a great loss to you and your dining companions. Has a great feel from the moment you walk along the gravel path into the compressed shop passing the outdoor dining area. Inside is friendly staff who make a great coffee, breads and cakes. You can also dine inside. Nothing pretentious about the place, just a great country atmosphere and well worth making a detour if on the Princes Highway and thinking of something to eat or drink.

Great food, excellent staff and service. We were warmly greeted on arrival by very friendly staff. The food was very good and the service timely. When we asked about the bakery we were invited in to see the bread being prepared for the next day and had a look in the huge wood fired oven, and saw how they make their brioche buns, very interesting, highly recommend.
