We phoned on Saturday night to make a booking for half twelve - the person on the phone was very nice and whilst it was obvious they were booked up, managed to fit us in. When we got there, we sat down with a nice refreshing pint and watched the folk around us. The menu was great, and whilst we... More

My partner went here on a works party and this was our first time back. We went on a Saturday, was really busy, but the whole night was faultless. The staff were so friendly and the place had a lovely atmosphere. I had the giant prawns wrapped in smoked salmon and the skate for my main course.....the food was delicious... More

Tried this establishment last night with my partner hoping for a nice meal somewhere we hadn't tried before! It was chaotic and not at all relaxing. The staff including what I think was the owner/manager were running around like headless chickens, delivering wrong meals to wrong tables, having to take food back that was unsatisfactory, not knowing what dishes they... We went there for a dinner and I must admit it has been one of the most romantic place I have been before. The service is impeccable and the food is very tasty.

Entrees of olives and warm bread. The linguine was divine, it's fairly pricey but you get what you pay for. Lovely food and would recommend.

My partner wanted a surprise for his birthday meal. I chose The Vineyard based on the fact neither of us had been there and it had consistently good reviews on the internet. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is very traditional. The food is excellent, well cooked and plentiful with a great choice of dishes. Staff were friendly and attentive... More

Five or 6 years ago this was a favourite but an increasing number of tables made it cramped and we were let down twice when prior bookings were forgotten. This was a disappointment as the food was always excellent and the service efficient and very friendly. We decided to give it another try and are pleased to say that this... More

First visit, met at the door with a very enthusiastic welcome. Coats taken, drinks delivered and a chance to browse the menu in the lounge area. Attentive service and a good old fashioned desert trolley. I would recommend the "lumpy bumpy cake".

6 of us ate here this afternoon and we had a lovely meal. The portions are gargantuan which I'm definitely not complaining about! No fine dining here. The menu is extensive with such a good range of dishes including very good vegetarian options. The prosecco was lovely and the red wine which 2 of the party drank was exceptional. We... More

More of a formal restaurant and well thought out. Staff were attentive and not too obvious. Food was excellent although the price reflects the quality of the whole package

Description
In the genteel and attractive village of Wrotham Heath, Kent, with its golf clubs, guest houses and greenery one restaurant stands out above the rest. The Vineyard was recently voted Best Restaurant in Kent, and it isn’t difficult to see why. Situated on Wrotham Heath’s main drag, the exterior is pure English countryside with white washed walls and leaded windows, the interior well appointed and the atmosphere relaxed and inviting. With a European menu which concentrates on French and Italian classics and, of course, an excellent wine list, The Vineyard is the perfect place to enjoy a romantic dinner or lunch with the family.
