Our last time in Tuscany, when we visited this restaurant 5 years ago, it was already than one of our best experiances ever. So we wanted to come back specially for the great food und the perfect service, we camo over from Viareggio to enjoy...a very special evening in Cana. The place is even better than 5 years ago, as the built a special terrace, called strada romantica, with small houses along and even a Fiat 500, looking out of the wall....... The staff was very polite and extrely attentive. We had the famous tortellis and then the bistecca fiorentina, that was perfectly grilled and really tender and tasty. I think i never had such a good dry aged bistecca fiorentina in my life. My kids hat pizzas and also they where delightet by the fine and enormous pizzas, with best mozzarella buffala on it. The biggest surprise was the homemade deserts, that we had: Mousse di yoghourt a new stunning creation with wood-fruits and the spectacular creamy tiramisu. After that the owner offered us his medicines....grappa, limoncello and fantastic amaro. Thanks to the staff and the owners, it was really worth driving 4 hours to have this great experience. We have been here for 3 years now. The restaurant had become more touristic in this period, where it seems more a german restaurant than an italian one. The pizza and pasta are good, but we ate bistecca alla Fiorentina the last time. This was...the worst I have ever eaten at the highest price, unfortunately. The prices are higher than an average restaurant in the neighbourhood. The key advantage is the view of this restaurant, but of course you can find this in Istia or Montorgiali as well, with better prices.More

While it may be quite hard to find bad food in Italy in general the dinner has been much appreciated by kids & parents. The restaurant owner & staff are really very friendly and the view from the terrasse is simply beautiful. Recommended.

So happy we found this place (thanks to a local friend). Overlooking a classically beautiful Tuscan valley, we were told that the kitchen only uses locally-produced ingredients. And it tells! Simply amazing. If anything head directly for the Tortelli with butter and sage.

I had the occasion to go for dinner many times the last summer, because I have my holidays home in this wonderful middle-age village in Maremma. The site is unexpected! The owners, Yvonne & Helmut, are very friendly and love Tuscany and Maremma, so they...have created a typical, high quality Maremma restaurant with a touch of internationality! So the quality of the dishes is very high and you can eat also fish, very unusual for a country restaurant. The fish is fresh, arriving daily from Argentario area, Maremma coast. The environment is very clean, curated in all details, very romantic during dinner, especially if you seat in the amazing terrace, facing the unique landscape visible from Cana. So go there, enjoy this unexpected place and its very good kitchen.More

An extraordinary view over the hills of Tuscany, a charmy atmosphere, a nicely designed terrass and inside, excellent local Italian kitchen and a lovely service made this dinner with our family unforgettable. Not to forget that almost all the restaurant ended up dancing at later...hours (special Friday nights...). We will return soon.More

Lets start by saying that there aren't many restaurants in the area so one isn't left with much of a choice. We went and the place looked really nice, clean bit kitsch but nice and the menu seemed lovely. What we didn't like and maybe...it has to do with german style of eating were the enormous portions which we found just silly pizzas could easily be shared by two. Our antipasto arrived ten minutes after our pizzas and our pasta ( for one of our party) arrived about thirty minutes later. We found it bit of a downer considering the restaurant wasn't super busy. The food was nice though. I think better management would help. But the feeling we left with was that this was really german / Italian restaurant rather than authentic Italian.More

i we have really enjoyed going to 'da noi a cana'... on numerous occasions! the welcome and service is always heartfelt - your hosts are present, professional and accommodating with all your wishes! they also cater for vegetarian and gluten-free customers. we all have enjoyed...our meals- ranging from a fantastic 'schweinshaxn' at the Octoberfest (what a hoot! do go!) to a falling-off-your-plate sized delicious seafood 'starter' (i dare you to be able to eat anything else after that...) garnished with rolling hills and olive groves on a summer's night on this one of a kind terrace .... the setting is special! they have done a great job with renovations of this property- and i adore the chandeliers in the double volume Loos! :-) Da-noi-a-cana & team; THANK YOU! we'll be back, LOTS and LOTS of times!More
