Nice spot overlooking beach. Good service from friendly staff and great food at an affordable price

I had rump steak and chips, steak was nicely cooked but was only 2 pieces of total 150gm instead of the 250gm expecting, chips were ok beer was cold Friend had carbonara and said that was very good, I had that another night and it...was very tasty.More

Our first time at this Surf Club... food was good as was the service in all areas, no complaints with that... but why oh why are all the windows closed on beautiful weather days???? I can understand if the wind is blowing a gale but...that wasn't the case in the 6 days we were in Alex. It certainly put us off from going. The noise of the patrons had nowhere to go! We also went to two other Surf Clubs along the coast and windows were always open, lovely fresh air inside which adds to the fabulous locations of all these Clubs.More

Our family of four had lunch ahead of our flight home from Maroochydore Airport. We were the first patrons there and ordered our food as the kitchen opened at 11:30am. Unfortunately 30+ mins later and multiple requests of staff, our food had still not arrived...(despite food streaming out for other guests). Finally when escalating to the manager (who was super helpful) our food arrived and money refunded. The food was inedible however and definitely not worth the wait. Have reviewed previously, and, again rate this as A Good Club..Our Meals, three, and Garlic Bread were all a real good size, and of top value. Nice Staff, as always.

Had a few meals here on our recent holiday. Food was ok, nothing special just club food. Family members order different items, , steak was over cook, pasta ok, roast was good, seafood platter would like more grilled rather then deep fried. Went for a...2 for 1 burger special and burgers were good for the price. I would like to add Staff were always friendly.More

Went here today for lunch, and normally the surf clubs and rsl clubs up here serve a decent ‘pub’ meal. This was the worst I’ve had on the Sunny Coast in five years. The prices charged are too high for a dry piece of steak,...packet sauce, chips (good) and salad. Dips and bread were ok. Was it worth joining the club to save a dollar off a meal, probably not as we won’t be back! I noticed the menus were grubby, so watched staff. They collected them but didn’t wipe them down, most places are at least doing that still!More

I had the worst roast meal in all my over 70 years at Alex Surf club last night. The beef was overcooked and very dry, the veggies tasteless as was the thick as custard gravy. To top it all, it was barely lukewarm. It is...a very noisy place where conversation is not the easiest and after sunset, not even a view to give a bit of ambience. The meals of the others at our table were fine, but have had better value at a regular restaurant. We left as soon as we had finished our meal.More

The service was good, however the food was really bad... I was actually shocked by the quality of food being served.

We had lunch here and enjoyed the experience. Our food was delicious and the serves were generous. The restaurant area is spacious and being right next to the beach the views are terrific.

Had dinner here. Food was delicious, freshly prepared. Service friendly, prices great. Happily recommended. Would definitely return.

My husband and I have been members for over 10 years now and would have to say that the Lookout Restaurant meals are currently the best they have ever been. The seafood platter for 2 is really good and last night we enjoyed the carbonara...and the Thai beef salad special. Top marks to the chef and restaurant staff, we look forward to many more enjoyable meals. The front desk, bar and gaming staff are also very friendly and we consider ourselves lucky to live so close to the best club on the Coast. Great view too 😀More
