Amazing service, delicious food

Dinner was delicious! They said they could cater to my vegan, gluten free needs because everything was cooked fresh. The service was amazing and don’t worry the meat lovers in my family loved their dishes too! We will be back, I’m still thinking about that meal!!!!

Sensational food but service let it down

We have dined at Sangs several times in the past and have never been disappointed. When we arrived on this occasion for dinner with a reservation for 3 people we waited awhile before being served by a young waitress who showed us to a table that was set for 2 people right in the doorway with a cold draft coming in. I confirmed with her that my online reservation had been received and she confirmed it had been so there was no excuse for the table not being set for 3 people. We ordered duck in plum sauce and pork belly with ginger and shallots with dumplings and roti. The flavours were sensational and we were very happy with the food. It’s just a shame that the service let down the experience. We were served soft drinks in a tall bottle with super short straws and no glasses. The wait staff showed no warmth or friendliness. Quite awhile after we finished eating, one of the wait staff came over and asked if everything was OK. I had to ask if all the dirty, empty dishes could be cleared. He took half the dishes and said he’d come back. After another long period of time when he was wandering around he saw our table and realised he’d forgotten to return. He took the rest of the dishes but didn’t clear away the empty drink bottles. He never returned to clear the bottles or ask if we wanted tea, coffees or dessert. We went to pay, which was a lengthy process, but weren’t asked how everything was. Great food but the wait staff let the whole experience down. We have dined in restaurants serviced by just one staff member and have received exceptional service far superior to that delivered by the 3 wait staff at Sangs. It’s a shame the owner wasn’t serving like in our previous visits.

Fresh and tasty food

Took my daughters for dinner while we were staying in Alex Heads and it was so good! Fresh and tasty food.. we ordered dumplings which were so tasty and fresh with sweet and sour pork, money bags, roti and rice. We left full and very satisfied. We would go back again.

Fresh, tasty and flavoursome

Had a great meal at Sangs. The food was hot, tasty and flavoursome and the service was prompt and available without being intrusive. We ordered the calamari, the curry puffs for entre and the green curry for main. All three were delicious.

We have our favourite Thai restaurant in Brisbane and so while on holidays we decided to give Sangs Asian Cuisine a go. Well we were not disappointed. The food and service were excellent and were pleasantly delighted with the size of the meals as we usually order 1 meal and share it between us. Just far enough away from the hustle and bustle (and bar noise) and only a pleasant evening walk from where we were staying. We'll be back.

I had satay chicken (GF) and red curry with prawns (GF). Daughter had dumplings and spring rolls both appetisers. Satay was excellent and chicken well sealed. Very full entree. Red curry was well spiced and mixed with right amount of greens and big prawns. And finally, a restaurant with an appropriate amount of prawns with a dish which is very appreciated. Very filling. You could tell the dumplings were home made and spring rolls were crunchy. Service was absolutely excellent and very quick, even with a large group ordering at the same time. I based my visit on TA reviews and was not disappointed. Am here for 3 weeks and will definitely visit here numerous times more.

Despite being rather full, the staff were efficient and courteous. We started with Tom Yum soup (lovely) followed by Plum Duck and Combination Stir Fry (generous serves - full of flavour). Not cheap but good value nonetheless

Tasty food

What a little gem of a place, only dropped in as it was right next to where I was staying. Had the beef massaman, rice and roti; all cooked really well the massaman had so much flavor and the roti was superb. Would definitely eat here again

Pineapple fried rice - yum!

After reading reviews I ordered take away pineapple fried rice and pork belly. It was delicious!!! Order was ready quickly and food was nice. It wasn’t cheap, but it’s a public holiday and you get what you pay for. So many vegetables and lots of pork in the rice!

Fried Rice and Sweet & Sour Pork

We dined here with 2 children. The kids loved the fried rice and sweet sour pork that we came back and got takeaway the next day. The staff were great they even remembered us when we came back. Very cosy and child friendly. You got to try them if you are in the area, food is amazing.

Booked late notice after staying at the oaks resort. Staff were extremely friendly and courteous. Food was served very fast considering the amount of dishes we ordered for 5 people. Would recommend this restaurant highly. The food was very flavourful and well balanced with a great serving of both meat to veggie ratio. The prawns were massive 👍. Great job guys and gals thanks for a fantastic night and the extra lollies for the kids. awesome service

Average atmosphere. Booked inside table as hot not- no air con. Service ok but not particularly friendly. Food was plentiful enough but taste average- chicken and cashew meal less than ordinary. 8 pm last ones there and asked for coffee- no coffee machine. $11.50 for a small glass of red wine. No BYO. Just an average experience. Wouldnt recommend… had read good reviews so disappointing really.

An excellent meal

Last night my husband and I dined at Sangs. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The dumplings were just delicious, spring rolls excellent and Singapore chilli prawns, despite more chilli for our liking, excellent also. We were actually asked how long we wanted to wait between entree and main, something one does no see very often at any restaurant. Restaurant was clean. We certainly would recommend

Exceptional Asian Dining.

Exceptional food and service, probably some of the best Thai I’ve eaten. There was a large group of us and we enjoyed the experience that much our group came back a second consecutive night. Highly recommend the seafood which my wife and myself considered perfectly cooked and presented. If you’re in the Sunshine Coast and enjoy quality Asian dining then I’d highly recommend this place.

Delicious food

We dined here after reading previous reviews and we were not disappointed. Dumplings, fish cakes & curry puffs for entree, combination fried rice with huge prawns & duck plum sauce was all delicious. So fresh & to die for. Service was great, prompt & all with smiles. Great night, will definitely return here. Give them a try you won't be sorry. 🙂
