We had booked a table for Sunday lunch. We announced our arrival at the bar and were given the choice of ordering a drink there or going straight to the table. We opted to go straight to the table, bad move. It took a long...More

Once again, we’re really sorry that neither your meal nor the speed of our service lived up to your, justifiably, high expectations of The Blue Bell. We’ve taken on board everything you’ve said, both on the day and in this review and are working hard...More

On a mid week night we were lucky to get in ( Yorkshire Show Week ) the food was pleasant but they were busy and the service, although friendly, was slow.

We came here for Sunday lunch as we were visiting relatives in Boroughbridge and The Blue Bell had been recommended. The pub looks recently refurbished and is very smart. The food took a while to come, but when it did it was very tasty and...More

Fantastic food is important at The Blue Bell: our local suppliers provide us with great Yorkshire produce which our chefs use to put together a great range of dishes from the pub classics we all know and love (think Fish & Chips or Cheese Burger) to some slightly more elaborate dishes that are perfect for those special occasions. To keep things simple our main menu runs throughout the week at both lunchtimes and during evening service. This is then supplemented by a lighter menu of Sandwiches & Light Bites on Wednesday to Saturday, whilst on Sunday we have our fantastic traditional roasts available for only £10.95.
