Booked samuel fox for a Saturday evening set menu meal. It was delicious. Starter, mains and pudding were all sublime. Both I and my wife had separate choices but neither could fault the quality of the food. The price is great for the quality. 100...More

Seriously, this was great. Seven course vegetetarian tasting menu, worth every penny (not that it was that expensive tbh). All really well prepared, cooked and presented. It was inventive, delicious and the portion sizing was bang on. Everything lovely including the staff. Strongly recommended!

Was staying locally and wanted a dinner choice and decided on here. Was not disappointed. Had the two course set menu, which was plenty. The service was just right. Very enjoyable

We spent a lovely evening with friends...the food was good too. We all had the Beef Cheeks, the meat melted in your mouth, very tasty. I did find the prices were a little steep for us.

Came here for dinner as we were staying nearby and I'd read the reviews on TA--they were spot on--this is well worth a visit from anywhere in the Peak District. The pub itself is very unprepossessing and the feel of the place is very ordinary...More
